Damira Wolfe
"You've had that smirk on your face ever since this morning, little sister." Baden points out, relaxing back into the sofa. I roll my eyes, giving him the stink eye.
"And you have done jack shit since you arrived. I thought you would have started your duties as soon as you got back." Baden is supposed to be our Delta, the third in command however his position had been vacant for three years after the Hunt. For safety and shelter, he had taken a few of the weaker wolves and the ones with families onto the plane. To be far away from here.
After three long years, they've all arrived home safely.
"Pfft. I'll get to it. Maybe." Sighing loudly, I'm about to throw my pen at him before the office door opens and the eldest of all of us enters. Jack Wolfe growls lowly at Baden.
"Baden! You bastard! What have you been teaching my daughter!" Baden pastes an innocent look on his face, humming.
"What do you mean big brother? Your lovely little Clara is sweet and innocent as ever." Jack lunges forward, grabbing Baden by the collar. His lips passing a low rumble.
"She knows what marriage is, idiot! And she also knows how to trick people and lie! My angel has been corrupted!" Jack cries, pushing my brother into the wall. I huff, pushing my paperwork away and staring at the two idiots fighting. We have been reunited for what, 10 minutes and they are already fighting. See, this is why I was made Alpha and not them.
"Boys..." I growl lowly, my Alpha tone seeping out. The two freeze and quickly bow. I grin in success before walking around the desk and towards the window. Down below is my little mate, pouting as she sat by the pups. "Did you show her to her room, Baden?" I ask, watching my mate in fascination. Her pout bringing the soft side of me, out.
"Yeah. She loved it for a second then demanded to leave." He shrugged, crossing his arms. "I told her again that the plane won't come for another three years. She was about to argue more but as soon as she saw Clara, she calmly stated she would like to go home! This girl has a switch or something! It's actually kind of creepy!" I hum, smiling to my self.
A true Luna. All Luna's are born with natural calm when it comes to the younger wolves of a pack, to ensure they are not frightened and will have trust in the Alpha and Luna of a pack. The natural calm is also soothing for injured wolves, mentally or physically. As a human, like my mate is, it's surprising.
"Alpha, we need to discuss your plans with the human." Jack interrupts, his face went serious. I shrug, turning to him.
"Simple. She will stay here and live like us."
"What about telling everyone she's your mate? We need our Luna, Damira." Baden butts in. That, I haven't thought about. Grinning wickedly, I turn to the boys, doubt clouding their features.
"We don't know if a simple human like her can lead, so why don't we test her? Give her a few tests to prove herself. If she passes them all, then we will announce our new Luna. I haven't decided on being her mate, boys. Why? Because do I really need one? A plaything, maybe. A mate? Eck, love sounds stupid."
I loved once, but all it got me was the pain. Never again will I submit to love. Not even to one that is fated to me. I eye the human now dancing with the pups, grinning. "Watch out, Darling. The big bad wolf will make you cry."
