The room was silent. The only thing that could be heard was the loud, fearful thumping of your aching heart. Your eyes filled with terror as you tried to comprehend what Rey had just told you. Everything you know about your past is wrong. The same phrase echoed on repeat inside your head, like the aftermath of hitting a gong.
Everything you had known about your past was wrong. That's why you never remembered anything about your parents: Darth Erenzonian had erased any memory you had ever had of your parents or who your family was.
Your parents had turned to the Dark Side and died on their path of doing so, and you had Dark blood coursing through your veins. The same blood that had coursed through Darth Erenzonian's veins years back.
Rey's voice became a muffle as your ears began to block out sound. You began panting heavily, all the muscles in your body tensing so tightly they began to hurt. You felt your body begin to sweat, and the fright was conquering your body. Turning it to mush, melting all the bones in your body and turning your muscles to fire.
You closed your eyes tightly, wanting the pain to go away. You felt your fingers moving inside the metal containers, and you tried to block out everything. You emptied your mind completely.
The only thing in your head was a memory of Poe. Just his face, smiling at you and telling you everything was going to be okay.
You took one breath, then your eyes burst open. A huge blast of power came bursting out of you, blowing through the entire cell. It sent Rey flying into the wall at such a high speed that the impact broke through the wall. The force burst the metal containers off your hands and snapped all the chains as if they were twigs. The table flew towards the ceiling and shattered into a million pieces, as well as the chair.
For a moment you stood, feeling strong. The power of the Force was vividly surging throughout your body, making you feel even more powerful than Kylo Ren. But suddenly, all at once, all the power was drained from your body, as if someone had sucked it all up with a vacuum.
You fell to the floor, panting and sweating. You were hunched down, your head against floor. You stood up and fearfully observed the damage you had caused. You saw the shattered pieces of the table and the chair, then the large hole in the broken wall, and in the debris, an injured Rey.
You gasped. "Oh my god!"
People rushed through, helping up Rey. She groaned lightly as they held her by her arms and lift her back onto her feet. Blood was dripping from her scalp and she was shaking slightly. She was dirty from the debris.
You felt tears in your eyes as you watched them carry her away.
"(Y/n)," Finn said, looking at you. "It's okay, just come here---"
"No!" You cried, backing off and rejecting the hand Finn held out for you. "Stay away from me, I don't want to hurt anyone else." Tears were streaming down your eyes. You stared down at your hands fearfully, feeling like you wanted to run away from yourself. Until now, you had no idea of what you were capable of. Now you were afraid of yourself.
"(Y/n)---"
"Please," you begged, your voice broken. "Just stay away." Without meaning to, another invisible force came out of your hands and pushed Finn away.
He gasped, stopping himself from crashing against the wall.
"I'm a monster," you sobbed, falling down on the floor.
"No, (Y/n). You're not a monster for being Force-sensitive," Finn protested. "You just need to learn to control it."
"How can I learn to do that if I'm always so emotional?" You asked, hugging your arms to yourself. You were so afraid of hurting others. Especially of hurting Poe. You knew how emotional you got around him, and if you accidentally used the Force because of the emotion you were feeling, you could hurt him even more than he was already hurt. You didn't want that.
