DEREK POV

I chased her around.

"Derek! Leave me alone!" She squealed.

"Nooo! Give me a kiss!" I whined. I tripped over something and fell face flat. I groaned and looked up. It was my sister, Max.

"Max." I growled.

"Leave the poor kid alone." Max grinned.

"This is so not fair. I want a brother." I deadpanned.

"Awh, but how will you get any girls?"

"Uh. DUH. My brother would be a player." I say proudly.

"How come?" Max asks.

"He'll be hot, like me!"

"You got sisters. We know how girls work." She says proudy.

"If all girls are like you. I'll pass."

"DEREK!" I hear my sister yelling. The one I was chasing.

"COME HERE YOU CUTE IDIOT!" I yelled and continued to run after my sister. I could feel Max shaking her head. She was younger than me, but very mature.

I ran through the door frame only to feel a sharp pain at the back of my head. I turned around. There stood the older sister, older than Max, younger than me. She was holding a pan.

"Your not rapunzel." I said. She frowns.

"Fine." I groan.

"Yay! You be the horsey!" She kicked my back and I feel to my feet. She got on my back.

"RUN!" She yelled.

"I can't."

"Pretty please, Derek." I throw her off my back.

She squeals and lands on the floor. Her eyes widen.

"AGAIN! AGAIN!" She screams in joy. I shake my head. I start to run away.

"DEREK! GET BACK HERE!"

"NO!" I yell back.

I hide behind the door and she runs by and I grab her and trip her over.

ANOTHER DAY.

I was in Max's room.

"Wait. So that's how babies are made?" Juliet walks in.

"Juliet!" Max says.

"Oh what? I am older than you, Max!" She says.

"Yes. But you are this family's little girl." Max says.

"Yay. Jumping with joy." She rolls her eyes.

"At least try to make it look like that." I say. I stand up on Max's bed and start to jump. Juliet grins and climbs up the bed then starts to jump. Max shakes her head before joining in.

"Who's this guy?" I hiss.

"No! Stay! Derek. Stay!" Juliet screams.

"You are so loud." I say. She shrugs.

"Now who is this boy? Who is meeting you for a playdate?" I ask.

"No one! Now go! You are going to embarrass me."

My Mother walks in.

"Juliet. Just relax, sweetie. We don't care about boys." My mother warmly smiles.

I lean on the wall. Juliet frowns.

"Why not? What about Derek."

"He's a boy isn't he?" My mother grins.

"What about dad?" I raise a brow.

"I'm a man." My dad walks in with Max on his shoulders.

"No, Gerald. Your a boy." My mum grins. He gently lets Max down then grabs my Mum into his hands. My Mum giggles as he takes her into a kiss.

I hear him whisper "That's not what you said yeste-" He was cut off from my scream.

ANOTHER DAY.

JULIET'S BIRTHDAY

"Morning!" I smile at my sister. She groans. I grin and jump on her bed then on her. Max runs in and jumps on me, I end up falling on Juliet and with Max on top of me.

"It's my birthday, leave me alone!" Juliet groans. Juliet was a very happy person. As long as you didn't meet her in the morning.

We finally got her out of bed. After dancing. Just having fun. It was time for the cake.

"Ok. Everyone, but the siblings move away." My mother says. Everyone groaned. She took more than a 100 pictures. We were only having a family party. Relatives and really close friends.

So everyone did as my Mum asked. So now it was me, Max and Juliet. Juliet in the middle, me on her left and Max on her right. We smiled as our Mum took the picture. Juliet blinked a few times.

"Derek." She whispered. I smiled and looked at her.

"I don't feel so good." Was the last thing she said before her face fell into the cake. We thought she was joking and started to laugh until a few seconds.

"JULIET YOU RUINED THE CAKE!" My mother squealed.

"Juliet?" I asked. No response. I shook her. She didn't wake.

"She's not joking!" Max cried.

My father carried her. My Mother blinked. Not knowing what had just happen.

"Gerald get her to the Nurse!" My mother cried.

1 YEAR LATER...

I went to Juliet's room. She was on a hospital bed and not in her original room. She was laying there. It was her birthday. It has been a year and she was in a coma. She gasped and sat up.

"Juliet?" I said. My eyes widened. She was finally awake. She looked at me. Her eyes no longer sparkled. They were emotionless. She looked to her side, and saw the machine that was hooked to her. She ripped it off.

"Don't,Juliet! You need it." I say. She shakes her head and gets up.

"MUM! DAD! MAX! COME QUICK! JULIET WOKE!" I mind linked them.

She looked at herself in the mirror and squinted her eyes. Her hand went to her face and her fingers gently touched her left eye. She slowly move her head to the side. She closed her eyes and I saw her struggle with something. She opened her eyes and gasped.

I walked over to her.

"Juliet. Talk to me." I haven't heard her in a year and only seen her lifeless body." She turns around and looks at me. Still showing no emotions.

Once my parents and Max storm in. Shocked by seeing Juliet even though I told them.

"My baby." My mother smiled.

"Ju-Ju!" Max smiled. My Father found no words.

She pushed past them and ran to her room. She looked like she was struggling with herself. Like she was talking to someone else and having an argument.

"What happened?" My mother asked.

"She woke up. Gasping for air. Removed the machine that was connected to her. Went to the mirror and touched her left eye. Then closed her eyes and opened them. Gasping again. Then you came. I tried talking to her. But nothing." I say.

"Her eyes." My father frowned.

"They've lost the sparkle." My father added.

"Something is different with her." Max said. We all nod.

I needed to find out what had happen to my baby sister.
