Trolls: All This Time

Chapter 5

-branch's pov-

as poppy and i walked back through the woods after our picnic "date", i wonder what it would've been like if we hadn't rescued the trolls. would i have become happy again? would they have made their way to safety on their own?

realizing i was thinking about things that were in the past, i took poppy's hand in mine and smiled. "where do you want to know next?" i asked.

"i'm kind of in the mood to watch a movie," poppy told me, yawning.

"poppy, all of the movie theaters are closed."

"you have a huge collection of movies in your bunker, i'm sure."

i looked at her weirdly. "how did you know that?"

poppy yawned once again. "i know you!"

arriving at my bunker, poppy and i went down to my living room. my bunker wasn't the cleanest, but poppy was so tired that she didn't seem to even notice.

"i'll be right back. you can look through my movie collection, if you want," i assured her, before taking off to my room to grab blankets.

i opened my closet and scanned past all of the green leaf vests and found a stash of warm, fuzzy blankets and square pillows.

i grabbed them, made my way to the kitchen, made some popcorn and grabbed some candy, and made my way back to poppy. she'd already taken off her shoes and was sitting on the couch.

"do you want a sweatshirt to wear instead of your dress?" i asked. "i normally only wear vests, but i'm sure i can find one somewhere."

poppy shook her head. "no, thanks. my dress is fine." she held up a couple dvd's. "i thought these looked good."

she held up the movies pitch perfect, how to train your dragon, and aladdin.

i smiled. typical poppy. of course she'd want to watch those movies.

"i think you'll like aladdin," i told her. "you haven't seen that?"

she shook her head. "nope!!"

i put the dvd in the dvd player and press play. handing her a blanket, she practically passed out within the first 10 minutes of the movie.
