A/N: so i watched trolls world tour today. and to say the least..i feel so, so empty. idk what it is, and i know it's dumb. but it's just..all of the hype, the theories, the books, the clips, the trailers, the sneak peeks, the fangirling, the screaming over a new broppy still, the predictions, all of it. it's all over and it really hurts me and i don't know why. so in attempt to fulfill this emptiness i am for some reason feeling, enjoy this chapter i've written. <3

"branch," said a quiet voice in the distance. "branch, help me."

"what?" branch groaned, slowly rising from his sleeping bag. wait, sleeping bag? what?

looking down at his large hands, branch's heart sunk.

gray. he was gray.

"BRANCH!!" the familiar voice shrieked once more.

turning around, branch spotted a bright pink poppy trying her hardest to escape a bergen's hand.

"let her go!" branch shouted at the tall creature, wrapping his hair around poppy.

the bergen laughed, picking up branch by the hair before putting him along with poppy inside her fanny pack.

"no!" poppy screamed, trying everything she could to escape.

"it's no use," he told her, grabbing her by the shoulders and pulling her down. "we're done for."

"hey!" she shrieked, slapping his hand away from her. "don't touch me."

"what?" branch began, wondering what in the world was going on here. "i thought we were-"

"don't talk to me. i don't want anything to do with you." sitting down as far away from him as possible, poppy folded her arms.

"poppy, i.."

"i said i don't want to talk to you!"

his eyes filling up with tears from being overwhelmed of confusion, branch sat down and sighed.

"branch?" poppy asked quietly, too quietly.

"what?"

"branch!" she said again. "wake up!"

"huh?" awakening from his dream, branch practically hit his head on poppy's. "what is happening?"

"you were dreaming." poppy giggled, the first time she dad laughed, even smiled since they had found out the news about her father.

branch didn't say anything. instead, he just stared at the beautiful girl sitting beside him.

"what?" poppy giggled again, propping herself up on both of her knees.

he pushed the bangs away from her eyes before resting his hand on her cheek. "i just can't believe you're mine."

she smiled. bigger and brighter than ever before, before leaning in and kissing him, relieved of the guilt she had been feeling because of her dad's passing.
