COMPLETE (v.):
❝ making (something) whole or perfect ❞IT ALSO COULD'VE been the way Wooyoung made San feel so overwhelmingly complete whenever he was around. San had never felt the same ray emotions for anyone as he did for Wooyoung. It was a sea of feelings he had yet to understand or even fully discover that it frightened him entirely especially because he'd never realized this part of himself had an attraction for someone like Wooyoung; both physically and emotionally.
Even if that thought itself shook him from the very core Wooyoung made it bearable. Even if walking through the door itself with Wooyoung by his side was terrifying itself, Wooyoung would intertwine their fingers together and suddenly nothing else matter. The looks that San received and the pure shock that racked everyone he knew, was nothing.
He'd never let go of Wooyoung's hand rather he held on tighter whenever he felt the slightest shift on his shoulders. And in those moments, Wooyoung would look at him with eyes that enchanted San. They dripped with concern and a form of admiration that San had never understood; an admiration similar to a child looking at a piece of taffy; -innocent, warm, and absolutely blissful.
San would get lost in Wooyoung's eyes a million times that day.
A handful of people had crowded San's table that day (one of them including Yunho himself who seemed pleased at the couple before him, mostly because he believed he contributed to getting them together, to which San would laugh mockingly and shake his head.) Everyone spat out questions in his directions- questions even he didn't know the answer to yet he could never give an explanation as Wooyoung would press his lips against San's cheek, drawing the older's attention away from the people and onto him.
At that moment, he'd motion for the people to leave, and little by little they dispersed leaving San's attention entirely on Wooyoung. Along the way, it could've been the fact that Wooyoung walked home with San that day. Leading the older up to the small steps before pressing his lips against San's, savoring the lingering taste of strawberries before pulling away and leaving.
In the first few months, the world around them seemed to wither away into nothing but a fragment of his imagination because Wooyoung made it seem unrealistic. And the words he would mutter one night on the same step pushed forth a puzzle piece that shouldn't have been. "Please know that I love you."
