"Hey Newbie, what's your story?" A woman with dyed blonde hair smoking a cigarette asked Aurora. Her name tag read "Farrah."
Farrah was short, not skinny, but, not fat, and had too much eye makeup on and she wore a shiny teal cheetah print crop-top with black spandex.
"My parents died two weeks ago. I just turned eighteen, and the will went to my older brother. So I'm dirt poor, and I have to raise money somehow." Aurora replied.
"Let me guess." Piper, a tall brunette with leather leggings and a skin-tight cherry red tube top started, "You've never had a boyfriend, or a first kiss, or sex for that matter."
Aurora blushed, "I... Uh... Yeah."
"You're a cute girl." Farrah said to the average sized blonde, Aurora had blue eyes, and the average body of an eighteen year old girl. She had boobs, not too big, not too small, and small hips. "You don't belong here." She continued looking at her small jean skirt and white crop-top.
"Well, right now I don't belong anywhere." She mumbled.
"And your brother?" Piper questioned.
"He goes in and out of jail. But somehow he's the mature one. Besides the fact that I'm now a prostitute."
A car drove up to the dark corner, "Rickey." Farrah chuckled, "Can't get enough of me, can you?" She smashed her cigarette in the ground and got into the beat-up red corvette.
Piper rolled her eyes, "Some strings attached." She murmured and laughed. "It's almost time to go back, let's head back."
Aurora was about to reply when a black Nissan stopped in front of Piper, "Geoffrey. What do you want?"
"Isn't it obvious? I want sex." He chuckled. "Now get your ass in here."
Piper smiled, "You know your way back, right?" She asked Aurora.
She nodded, "Yeah. I think."
"Good enough for me." Piper smiled and got in the car.
...Aurora sighed, she was definitely lost. And it was pouring.
"What are you doing out this late?" A guy asked, "Aren't you supposed to be at your head quarters or in a bed somewhere by now?"
"I'm a little lost." Aurora admitted. "This is my first day." She shouted through the rain.
"Get in, I''ll bring you home." He demanded. Aurora hesitated, "I don't want sex. I promise." He told her.
Aurora looked both ways before getting into his silver car. "I'm Aurora. Aurora Davidson."
"Davidson? Like Becky and Thomas Davidson? The ones that just died-"
"In a car accident. Yeah, those are my parents."
"I'm Connor Knights. 21 years old, pharmacist."
"I'm 18, prostitute. Only because I need money."
"I thought so. Good girls like you shouldn't be prostitutes. You're too smart, and beautiful."
Aurora smiled at him, "Thanks. You're a nice guy. Kind of handsome too." She flirted.
"Kind of?" He laughed. "I'll take you to my apartment."
"Thank you." Aurora thanked.
"I'll take you home in the morning."
"I... Um... I don't have one." She mumbled. "Can't afford it."
"Then I guess you're stuck with me." He smiled.
...After Connor had set out clothes for Aurora during her shower, he started making hot chocolate for her.
"Where'd you get girl clothes?" Aurora asked from the hall in a white t-shirt and black spandex. "Wait. Are these your girlfriend's? Oh god, am I wearing your girlfriend's clothes?"
Connor chuckled, "I'm not in a relationship. Those are my roommate's clothes. She wouldn't mind though."
"Oh. Where is she?"
"At her girlfriend's house. And yes, she's gay. So you don't have to be jealous."
"I've known you for an hour and a half, and you're already acting cocky?" Aurora chuckled sitting at a bar stool.
"Well, you're my new roommate. Along with Sammy. The gay one."
Aurora lifted her eyebrows, "Well, I have nowhere else to stay. Why not?"
Connor smiled. "You're different."
"Different how?" Aurora asked, grinning back at him.
"You're perfectly imperfect. You're so gorgeous and kind."
"You can't say that." Aurora told him. "You've known me for less than 2 hours."
"Hot chocolate?" He asked, changing the subject.
"Connor, you're the kind one. You took me to your home. You're letting me stay, you're... You saved me from a world that I didn't want to enter." Aurora replied. "And hot chocolate sounds good."
Connor smiled. "See? You're kind."
"I'm not kind. I'm honest." She told him.
"Do you want the bed or the couch?"
"Um. I'll take the couch. It is your bed." She replied.
"Are you sure?"
"Uh, yeah. I don't want to intrude." Aurora told him.
"You're not intruding. I'm the one that picked you up." Connor chuckled.
"No seriously, I've been sleeping on park benches. This will be an upgrade."
"Fine. Fine, whatever. I'm going to head in. I'll put some blankets out for you though." Connor gave in.
"Thanks." Autora yawned, putting her empty mug in the sink. "For everything."
"No problem." He sighed, dropping a pile of blankets on the couch. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight." Aurora smiled.
