Thanksgiving

"Okay everyone, do you have your Boyle Bingo, Thanksgiving edition, cards ready? Hell be here any minute." We all show Jake our cards with things we think Charles might do this year, he nods just as Charles comes in. On my card I have: Boyle calls it turkey day, Boyle says Gobble, gobble, gobble, he explains that they ate lobsters at the first thanksgiving, Boyle says Boom, Tells the story of how he played Pocahontas in his Third-Grade Play, He believes obvious lie (which I stole the idea off Rosa), Charles saves Thanksgiving, Boyle objects to Boyle bingo (also stolen off Rosa), Boyle says come on guys (Which I stole off Terry for a change).

Charles walks into the bullpen holding three coffees and a big smile on his face, "Happy Turkey Day."

Jake spins around in his chair and points at Charles, "Yes! Right out of the gate."

"What? Whats going on?" Charles comes and stands next to Jake and Terry to have a look at what were all holding.

"We're playing Boyle Bingo, Thanksgiving edition." We continue to explain the rules of the game when Boyle takes the Sarges Card and starts to read some off, explaining them as he goes. He explains how they ate lobsters at the first thanksgiving and how they were called Ocean bugs.

"I think I have the winning card here. Boyle tells us that he played Pocahontas in his Third-Grade play." Jake reads off his card causing Charles to tell us why he played the character, because all the girls were too big. Gina then gets him to say, Gobble, Gobble, Gobble, when he tries to say it with two but it doesnt sound right. Charles then goes on to object to the game, one for Rosa, and then goes on to say come on guys, another one for Terry.

"Well, guess what. I can spoil your little game by sitting over here quietly all day and doing nothing." When he goes to sit down, he misses his chair and falls onto the floor, which no one had, making us all laugh. When none of us have it Charles stands up happy, "Thats a victory. Thats a victory for Boyle. Boom!"

'Boyle says, Boom!" we all say at the same time marking it off our card, making Charles just sit at his desk quietly.

'I definitely have the winning card here; I already have seven out of nine." I wave my card in Jakes's face as I walk past him into the break room.

"What? How? Most of us only have two." Jake comes running after me taking my card and looking everything over before handing my card back. "You always win Boyle Bingo, along with the 100 dollars, and never tell us how you know what he will say or do."

"Because I just silently watch you all and learn how you act and common phrases you all say on a day-to-day basis. Especially on holidays." I stick my tongue out at him before taking a sip of my coffee and walking away.

Were at Amys apartment waiting for everyone else to show up, so far it's just me, Hope, Terry, Gina, Rosa, Hitchcock, Scully, Jake and Charles. Hope it sitting on Rosas lap talking about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which Rosa just finished reading so she could understand what Hope was talking about. She came around my place about two weeks ago asking if she could borrow all the Harry Potter books so I just handed them all over telling her we had multiple copies.

"I have to practice my toast." Amy picks up a thick looking toast, reading over it and mumbling to herself.

"God how long is that?" Jake asks taking a sip of his beer.

'Eight pages. Single spaced. Double-sided." Amy answers him quickly looking up from her toast.

"Santiago style." Jake points to her as he says this making us all laugh at it because we would expect nothing less from Amy.

"Excuse me, can we please eat? My body is starting to digest itself.' Terry asks from the dinner table with a pleading look in his eyes.

"Well that doesnt sound very good, and also doesnt sound very possible. So just wait until the Captain gets here so we can all eat together. And thats my final word, Terry." I say standing next to Amy to read over her shoulder to see what shes toasting about.
