A/N

I'm skipping the Episode 'Pontiac Bandit' because i really just wanted to move onto this episode. Thats mainly so I could move on with Jake and Katie's relationship.

Me and Jake are standing face to face-ish, I'm way shorter than him, on the last day to win the bet that has been going on for one year today. It's our last chance to make more arrests than the other person, meaning we have been bugging Captain Holt for new cases all week. It got so bad he band us from asking him about new cases or coming into work before the other person to try and get a head of each other. Meaning Jake has been crashing at my place all week long so we can go to work together.

"Peralta."

"King. The bet ends today. Are you ready?" Jake stairs me down as best as he can without getting too close.

"I was born ready."

"To lose? The whole question was, 'are you ready to lose?' And you said you were born that way."

"Twist my words all you want, but I'm still setting your car up in flames when I win." I push him aside to get to my desk to work on my new case.

"What Bet? What are you guys talking about?" Hitchcock chimes into our wired taunting conversation.

"Seriously? The Bet? They've been keeping score all year. It comes up all the time. What are you doing all day?" Terry questions Hitchcock on how he never pays attention.

"Nothing. Why? Want to hang out later?"

"A year ago today, Peralta and I made a bet to prove who's a better detective," Jake points to himself as I say this, resulting in me hitting his hand away, "Whoever makes more felony arrests, wins."

Flashback to making of The Bet

We're all sitting around in the briefing room discussing the terms of The Bet. Me and Jake are sat on tables opposite each other, while Rosa is sat on a chair with her feet up on my table.

"What are the stakes? And don't say money because I know you dont have any. So whats the most important thing to you?" I ask Jake with a smug look on my face knowing what his answer will be.

"My car."

"That thing is a date magnet. I mean, how many girls have you made out with in that car? Six?" Charles tries to get Jake not to Bet his so called 'Date Magnet' of a car, but, Jake being Jake puts it on the table.

"Well, I'm going to win, so sure. Let's bet the car."

"No, Jakey, No! That car is your superpower. Thor would never wager his hammer. Neil Patrick Harris would never wager his showmanship. Losing that car will be the worst thing in the world for you."

"Oh, look Jake. Charles already thinks I'm going to win." I twist Charles words around to annoy him.

"No thats not what I said."

"Well what's the worst thing in the world for you, King?" Gina asks leaning over my shoulders.

"Having to live with my brothers again, but in terms of the bet. Having to go on a date with Jake in his car."

"Okay, okay, okay. Then it is settled. If Peralta loses, King gets his car. If King Loses, she has to go on a date in said car." Terry finalises the rules of the bet before standing infront of us, "Now shake on the aggred terms." We both do as told, with an over the top grip, "Then its settled. As of today the bet is in place."

Back to present day

"And now the score is all tied up."

"But not for long, as you see King, I have been given new cases to work." Jake picks up a pile of unsolved cases, before dramatically putting then down on his desk.
