There was just something about Namjoon that's bothered Yoongi for a while.

Every day from the back of the classroom, he'd watch as the tall male entered the room with a bright smile on his face.

All his classmates come up to greet him, convincing him to join their variety of clubs and activities.

Yoongi... was not impressed.

Sure. Namjoon was popular.

Sure. Namjoon was class president.

Sure. Namjoon has a great and likable personality-

But no one's perfect.

There was no way that a person like Namjoon existed-

It seemed too good to be true. He was nothing but a pretty face.

Nothing more- Nothing less.

"Class may I have your attention?"

Professor Jeon comes walking in, his shoes hitting against the floor.

The class is silent and attentive, while Yoongi rolls his eyes and puts his headphones on.

He couldn't care less.

"Now, I'm sure you're all aware of the big, end of the year project that I will be talking about today yes?"

The classroom is filled with simultaneous agreement as Professor Jeon smiles at his students.

Yoongi still turns a blind eye and a deaf ear to what is going on.

"This project is a partner project-"

The students immediately break into excited chatter as they exchanged looks with their friends.

"-Partners... that I've assigned."

That dreaded word 'assigned'.

The students groan in disappointment while Professor Jeon tries to lift up their spirits again.

"I understand that you're all disappointed with not being able to choose your partners, but the good news is that this project is all about creativity," he explains while beginning to write on the board.

"As we have been studying the life of Vincent Van Gogh, I'd like you and your partner to choose one of his pieces to relate to the word that I will assign to you. Since this an art class, your presentation must be in the form of some type of art. You're not limited to a certain art form, but please make sure it's appropriate for school. You have until the last day of school, which gives you a whole month and a half. Any questions?"

No hands are raised.

"Lovely, then I'll start naming pairs," Professor Jeon says while grabbing his clipboard.

Everyone is hoping that their partner is going to be good or possibly someone they know.

Well... everyone except Yoongi.

He spent the whole time sketching in his sketchbook, lazily dragging the graphite of his 2B pencil on the blemishless paper.

"I'm giving you a week to work in class and the rest must be done on your own time. You may now find your partner and get started," Professor Jeon announces and all the students scatter.

Yoongi draws a few straight lines, followed by subtle curves.

He realizes that he's unconsciously drawing sunflowers- He can't find an explanation.

"Those are some nice sunflowers." Yoongi freezes at the voice.

A voice that he's heard in the hallways.

A voice that every student knew well, but most of all-

A voice that he despised.

"Can I help you?" His tone was cold and harsh, but Namjoon doesn't seem fazed.

"Actually yes. I was wondering if you had any ideas for our project?" Yoongi looks at him in confusion.

"Project? What project?"

The male sighs before chuckling in amusement.

"The end of the year partner project Professor Jeon talked about. We're partners."

Yoongi stares at the other in disbelief.

This had to be a bad dream.
