Xiao Zhan has always basked under Wang Yibo's attention. Whether be it during their filming of 'Ah-Ling' (The Untamed) or, during fan meetings, concerts, award shows. Any place Zhan was unknowingly Yibo would get drawn without Zhan needing to make any effort. Thus Zhan thought it would always be the case, his Didi's attention would always be on him. That they would always remain 'good friends'. Yup, friends that was they were in Xiao Zhan's point of view. In a way Xiao Zhan may have ended up taking Yibo for granted.

But why didn't Yibo send him any message for the last few months? Whereas, before i.e. for the last two years even if they were drowning under work Yibo would always find time and send texts or memes, even if Xiao Zhan replied late or didn't, in some cases. This was probably the longest time he hadn't heard anything from Yibo. Even after Ah-Ling ended they have remained in contact, Yibo was always first to initiate a conversation. Not hearing from Yibo for such a long time did felt somewhat weird to Xiao Zhan.

The last time they texted was when they exchanged new year's greetings after Hunan TV and Dragonfly TV's respective concerts.

" Yibo: Happy New Year, Zhan-Ge!!

Happy New Year, Didi!:Zhan

Yibo: I saw your stages. Your dancing has improved a lot. I'm impressed.

Thank you so much, Yibo! I really practiced hard this time.How did you find time to watch though? You were supposed to be more busy then me with hosting the concert.: Zhan

Yibo: For you I'll always find time.

Haha. Whatever you say.: Zhan
Yibo, you know right, for a long time I haven't dated.:Zhan

Yibo: yeah...

I think maybe there's a possibility between me and Yangzi. I mean we haven't officially said anything but I can feel it. Even my mom said she will be happy if we end up together.: Zhan

Yibo: Ah, that's great. I hope it ends up well with you guys. I think I have to go right now. I will talk to you later.
*Wang Yibo went offline*

Zhan didn't know why, but he felt really excited today. Because today he was about to attend a gala night at Hunan TV, and guess who is supposed to be there; Yibo! He knew with all the endorsements and dramas to shoot, shows to host, bike racing; Yibo was supposed to be extremely busy, as he himself was busy.

Everything was like just it was supposed to be like. Yet, for Xiao Zhan it didn't feel normal. Why wasn't Yibo throwing glances at him? Even when they interacted a while ago Yibo acted like usual, but his eyes didn't had that glimmer and warmth that he used to look at Xiao Zhan. Though Yibo laughed at something Xiao Zhan said, why didn't he felt Yibo was truly laughing from his heart? It was Wang Yibo, but he felt it wasn't his Wang Yibo.

Xiao Zhan laughed bitterly without even realizing he had called Yibo 'his'. He looked at Yibo up on stage hosting and sighed. Maybe he was overthinking. Maybe he wasn't.

When Yibo came down instead of striding over by his side to interact in a subtle way, like a glance, which he would normally do, while Xiao Zhan would not even reciprocate and look ways to avoid. In contrast to usual Yibo actually walked the other way. Xiao Zhan could see him interacting with an actress. His heart felt stuffy and he didn't like this feeling. Call it Xiao Zhan being selfish for wanting all of Yibo's attention on him. But why was Yibo behaving like this, and even more why was he so perturbed by it?

Xiao Zhan has acted with a lot of actors and actresses and overtime interactions with all of them reduced gradually. With others it didn't matter, but with Yibo it was different. And he really detested the idea of falling out of communication with Wang Yibo.
