- Alec and Izzy are securing the area - Jace informed them as they approached the line outside the club.
- Are you sure this is a good idea? - Clary asked. - Last time we were here, this place was crawling with vampires - The red-haired girl noted.
- Relax, all Downworlders spend their time here - Jace said. - We just had a vampire night recently
- Okay, so when will this all start to sound normal to me? - She asked Clary, who started to piss off the blonde man and tried to filter with him.
- I don't know - Jace confessed as he turned around and saw his parabatai and Izzy standing behind them.
- The area is clear - Alec announced, and Izzy linked her arm with Clary.
- Do you think red is my color? - Izzy asked as she touched the ruby necklace around her neck that belonged to Magnus.
- Izzy, with a body like yours, everything is your color - Clary admitted, and the black-haired woman smiled.
- Good point. I made the necklace look great - Izzy said as the line got shorter.
- Can you take off the necklace? I'm sure Magnus Bane won't want a slobbery ruby necklace when we make the exchange - The black-haired man stated in a serious tone.
- Most men like it when I admire their jewels - Izzy said.
- Could you give this to Jace? - Alec asked.
- What a stiff you are - Alec's sister said as she took off the necklace and gave it to her brother before entering the club.
After a while, the four shadowhunters entered a club filled with dancing and drunk mundanes and were looking for Magnus Bane.
- Let's split up. Keep your gun ready - Jace said as he and Clary walked away together and after a while they saw Magnus so they went to him.
- Magnus! - Jace shouted and attracted the warlock's attention, who smiled in response as Clary and Jace approached him.
- Clarissa Fairchild - He said with a flamboyant smile. - You have grown into a beautiful woman, just like Chloe - He stated with a smile on his face as he looked at the red-haired girl.
- Magnus Bane, so you stole my memories - Clary said reproachfully as she looked at Magnus.
- At your mother's request. She knew the risks - Magnus Bane noted.
- Show me the jewelry, shadowhunter - The warlock ordered as he looked at Jace, who showed the necklace in the warlock's face. Magnus tried to take the necklace from Jace, but failed.
