Chapter Four:
A Gnome Army At My Front Door
Stan's pov
I stumbled aimlessly through the forest for them, I knew there were creatures out there. I remember dipper trying to tell me of gnomes that wanted a queen, crystals that could shrink and grow you, the gremlobin that destroyed the mystery shack. I believed it all and probably more. It was all true, I've ran into a few gnomes once and awhile. Heck. I've even seen the kids fight all of them in there fist week here!
I heard running so I hid behind a tree. The running stopped and the voices started. I looked around the tree seeing the gnome army and two kids. They weren't the twins though. There was a boy and a girl. I couldn't really make out small details but, The boy had blond hair with a red Sweatshirt and jeans. I think he wore glasses. The girl had dark hair almost black but not quite. She wore an orange t-shirt and shorts.
"-Will you marry all of us and be are queens?"
The kids paused for a moment and made a big mistake, they ran. Well I can tell who's new in town. The gnome army chased after them and so did I. They were heading back to the mystery shack. I ran to catch up and save them, but I couldn't what would being old. The boy turned once not seeing me, but his face was full of pure fear. The girl turned too. I looked as well.
Terrific. There doing that whole huge gnome tack tick thing again. They started to run faster with there leader, Jeffery er something yelling commands. I had to pull to the side and catch my breath the gnome army passing me. The strange kids had made it to the clearing. I started to run again to the edge of my property to one of the fake trees. The gnome army had corner them on the porch.
I counted the trees to make sure it was this one and it was. I grabbed the low branch, the metal door sliding up. I looked inside. There was a rifle, a leaf blower, beef jerky, a few crystals, some baseball bats. All of it was for creatures I and dipper had found, but I decided to get defense since they never stopped looking for trouble and once and a while there in real trouble. I took the leaf blower I bought, not the same one the twins used, this one was to put on your back.
I ran to the gnome proposing. "Anywho, will you ladies be our aahhhh!" Said the gnome. I had blew him into my trash cans.
"I'm assuming you kids are new in town." I said. The two kids nodded. "Welcome to Gravity Falls!" I said and started to blow the gnomes back into the forest. Sucking in a gnome or two and shooting them at a group of gnomes. After a while they all ran into the forest. That Jeffery guy yelling at me.
"We're not the ones to worry about Stanford, a dark force is coming, the forest dwellers are getting prepared, you should do the same!" He ran into the woods. I stood there watching him go. He might be right. It wasn't that lively in the woods when I was there. Besides the gnomes and these to kids, there wasn't anything there. He probably was trying to get queens before this "dark force".
I turned back to the two children. "So I'm Stan, who are you?" The boy spoke.
"I'm Louie And this is my best friend Charlotte." The boy had glasses, but one lens was missing. His hair was messy and more of a strawberry blonde with leaves and sticks in his hair. He had a blue star on his sweatshirt.
The Charlotte had a dark brown haired and a orange head band. She had a tree stump on her shirt. Her shorts were brown in color. She was missing one of her shoes, probably from running. They looked like the twins. Charlotte saw that I was starring.
"What's wrong?" She asked. I jolted out of it.
"Hmm oh umm you kids remind me of something I lost." They didn't look
Like the twins a lot but they sorta had that look, the look of curiosity and adventure.
"Where are your parents?" I asked.
"We're orphans, we escaped and we've been going from town to town for a while." Louie said. Charlotte frowned. I really didn't want two kids staying that remind me of Mabel and Dipper, but I couldn't just kick them to the curve. What choice did I have?
I yawned, then sighed. "Alright, it's late, we're all tired, you guys can stay tonight okay, come on in and welcome to the mystery shack."
