You knew the lyrics by heart as you swayed to the music playing on your old record. Sure it would scratch every now and then but you loved the way it did. You pictured yourself with your one and only dancing to this song you loved so much.

You were too shy to get into the dating game but damn, you were willing to try one day.

Lifting the needle to play the song for the 100th time, you heard your phone ring and picked it up to see it was a message from 2d, one of your greatest friends. You knew the band Gorillaz since they started and through a miraculous coincidence, got to meet them back stage at a concert.

You quickly hit it off, as they liked you to the point where you would get coffee with either all or one of them every now and then.

Reading the message, D told you that he couldn't meet up with you as he was a bit busy at the moment, probably painting his nails again.
He then told you that Noodle was free tonight and would be more than happy to hang out with you at your favorite coffee shop.

Heart fluttering a bit, you quickly agreed to the idea. Gotta admit you had a small, no, HUGE crush on Noodle and would constantly try to hang out with her every chance you got. Thought that was very rare.

There was just something about her. The wag she laughed, the way she smiled, the way she-- did everything. She was just too damn perfect.

Responding back to 2d, you agreed to go out with Noodle (not 'that' go out)
With the record still playing, you quickly got dressed and ran outside.as she would be picking you up this time.

You saw her car pull up outside your door and you quickly got it as you were a little too excited.

"Glad you could make it." She welcomed me in her cheery voice.

Finally arriving at the coffee shop, you both got out and ordered your favorite beverages.

Once they arrived, you both took a seat outside. It was a bit chilly considering it was almost 10 PM but the hit drink warmed you up perfectly.

"(Y/N)" She broke the silence bewtween you two.

"D wasn't busy today in case your wondering. I wanted to hang out with you for a reason (y/n)." She said almost in a serious tone.

"What did you need Noodle?" You asked nearly concerned.

She then got up from her seat across from you and took one next to you instead.

Face red, you tried to search for the right words to say to kill the awkward atmosphere.

Before you could find any words at all, a pair of lips softly landed on yours. Stunned, your face was as red as ever as you never thought Noodle would return your feelings.

She pulled away and looked at you with a soft smile on her lips.

"I like you, alot, (y/n)."

You couldn't say anything as a result from the recent shock which was still visible on your face.

Giggling, she leaned against your shoulder, taking a sip of her decaf.

Flustered, you smiled to yourself a bit.

"Noodle?" You asked.

"Hm?"

"I..I like you too."

I'm fucking loving this book, the inspiration wont fucking stop.
