Why is it that we always fall for our best friend?

Is it because we know we can trust them?

Is it because we know them so well?

Or is it because they anytime, anywhere appear without the promises of kisses and intimate touches?

There is nothing in them except for that glimmer of hope that maybe someday there will be a day, when they will be together.

The school was decorated beautifully, covered in flowers, ribbons and balloons.

The board outside the auditorium read "FAREWELL- CLASS X (BATCH 2019-20)"

The feeling of excitement and different emotions was in the air. While someone was nervous due to the exams, there were some who didn't want to leave the school.

Preeta was standing near the pillar, looking totally helpless, maybe she was. Srishti, Sameer and Karan came to her.

Srishti: Hey, Preeta.. Looking nice.. Waise aaj udaas kyun lag rahi ho?

Sameer(guessing): Sherlyn ne kuch kaha?

Preeta(in mind): Aaj ke baad kuch bol bhi nahi paayengi..

Preeta: Nahi.. Woh bas.  Poora farewell nahi dekh paungi na.. Papa aa rahe hain na lene.. Bas

Karan: Haan.. Toh hum record karke rakhnege.. Shaam ko tumhe dikha denge.. Relax..

Preeta smiled.

She looked at his shirt. She once told him that it was her favourite shirt of his. Now, he looks for every possible excuse to wear it.

Sherlyn, Monisha and Prithvi came there.

Sherlyn: Oh.. Ho.. Toh tum aa gayi?

Monisha: Hume toh laga tha.. Tum apna muh chupa ke.. Ghar pe baith jaogi.
