The worst kind of pain is when you're smiling, just to stop the tears from falling.
She wasn't as okay as she pretended to be.
But as the pain was real, the hope too was.
Preeta stepped out of the Auto-rickshaw and gazed at the huge mansion.
Reconsidering her decision, She entered hell or the 'Kohli Mansion'.
We all have a chance, but at times we don't get to choose.
Glancing around, her eyes stopped at the beast, at Vicky.
Preeta(sternly): Mein kaam shuru karti hoon.. Pehle yahaan ke designs banaane hain
Vicky sensually caresses her face and gave her a raunchy look.
Vicky(sensually): Tum alag hi ho.. Vicky Kohli ke charms mein nahi fasi.
Vicky(laughs): Tumhe lagta hai ghar ko design karna hai?
Preeta nods confusedly. Vicky laughs evilly.
Vicky: Tum bohot bholi ho.. Pata hai?
Vicky(smirks): Nahi.. Tumhe NCA.. Yaani National Cricket Academy ka designing karna hai.. Mein wahaan ka head hoon
Preeta gets blown away hearing the confession.
Preeta(shocked): What? Par yeh aapne bataaya hi nahi kabhi.. I won't accept this contract.
Vicky smirks and takes out his phone and calls someone and puts his phone on speaker.
Voice: Hi.. Mr. Vicky.. Aapka phone? Koi problem hai?
She was taken aback hearing her Boss's voice.
Vicky: Woh mujhe bolna tha.. Ki aapki jo employee hai na.. Preeta?
Boss(tensed): Usse koi galti ho gayi.. Mein uski taraf se maafi maangta hoon.. Mein usko company se nikaal doonga.
Vicky gave her a unabashed look. She closed her eyes being helpless.
Vicky: Nahi.. Woh bohot achhi hai.. Bohot achha kaam karti hai.. Must say.
Boss: Oh.. Haan.. Woh yahaan ki best employee hai.. Thank you.. Aapko koi problem aaye toh mujhe bataana..
Vicky hangs up the call. Preeta looks at him disgustedly.
Vicky: Aaj toh Saturday hai... Tum jao.. Monday ko sharp 9 academy pohonch jaana..
Power doesn't corrupt people. People corrupt power.
Preeta leaves from the house, she had never wanted to enter again. But sadly, she had no choice.
She saw a rickshaw coming and stopped it.
Preeta(wiping tears): Dolphin Cliff
The rickshaw took her to her destination. She got down and paid the driver. She took a deep breath and then suddenly fell down with a thud.
She was broken before, but he broke her more.
She burst into tears and then took out her phone in frustration. She typed whatever had happened to her and was about to send it to Srishti when she deleted it.
Twenty-six letters, Hundreds of emojis, yet the back-space has better stories to tell.
Behind her smile was a hurting heart, behind her laugh, she was falling apart. She had finally let all the anguishmet out.
