It's funny how
USA stands for the United States of America
But at the same time, it doesn't.
We're not united and never have been.
Not a day goes by where you see the news reporting on a new incident,
And we're not fazed.
We're not surprised by it,
The mistreatment
The prejudices
The insults
The assaults,
It doesn't faze us anymore.
We've become used to it all,
Like it's a part of our society,
Because that's exactly what it's become.
We say "let's fix this" but nothing will get fixed if we don't all come together.
"We all bleed the same
So tell me why we're divided."
