Two months had passed since Taehyung got the job and things were going absolutely great. His income was pretty good and combined with Jungkook's modest earnings, would have been enough to organize the trip to Daegu they had been planning for weeks.
He also managed to buy himself a new phone since the destroyed the one he had straight after Jungkook dumped him by text.
Anyway, once they finally made up, Taehyung had explained to his boyfriend how delicate the whole situation with his parents was. They were pretty close-minded and not used to the thought of their son being romantically attracted to boys... well, to any human being actually.
He had told him how his parents thought he was asexual growing up.. no wonder they got so shocked when he broke the unexpected news. On the other hand, Jungkook confessed how his folks never really cared about him as a person, let alone his sexual preferences.
They only used him for money (and still were), though now that he wasn't as popular as before on social media, they had started ignoring him even more, urging him to get a real job otherwise they would have stopped supporting him financially.
"Can you believe it?" Jungkook blurted out through the phone, talking to Taehyung who was done with his morning shift at the museum and was now enjoying a burger for lunch break.
"They're even worse than my parents and that's saying something.." the older boy retorted with his cheeks full.
"I know.. anyway, how is it going at work?" Jungkook asked then, trying to change the subject. Talking about his terrible parents made him feel nauseous.
"Pretty good actually" Tae answered in a giddy tone. "I've always dreamed of being surrounded by works of art and wonderful, inspiring people" he added then, making Jungkook crack a smile. He was happy for him.
"Are you coming home late again? I miss you so badly.." Jungkook pouted, his voice whiny.
"I'm afraid so.. though we can talk for a while if you want. I've been given a two hours break " the blue-haired boy answered, swallowing a big bite of bread.
"That's great.." Jungkook said in a breathy voice that made Taehyung shiver. He didn't even have the time to process what was going on that he received a snap from his boyfriend. Curious, he opened it.

He choked on his food.
"What was that?" Taehyung yelled into the phone, hearing Jungkook's satisfied laugh on the other end.
"Just my way of telling you that I miss you" he replied, living for Taehyung's reaction.
"You know I almost died looking at your picture.." the blue-haired boy talked back, taking a sip of water to soothe his aching throat.
