GIDEON SATat the piano as she waited for Ashlyn to sing.
The night had been one of Gideon's busiest nights of her life, or, at least what felt like it.
Nini sat down beside her, "Where's Ricky?"
Gideon sighed, "He needed a break. His mom and her boyfriend are in the audience and I guess he saw something he didn't want to see. It's better to take a break before doing something you regret."
Nini nodded.
"You can stay." Gideon said, waving her finger around, "It's just me and the piano, waiting for Ashlyn."
Nini smiled.
One crew member tapped in the piano, a cue for her to begin playing.
Once Ashlyn finished singing Nini stood up and headed off to her dressing room.
Carlos sat next to Gideon, "Hey..."
"Hi..." She smiled.
"Can you come with me? It's Seb."
"Yeah, of course."
They both stood up and made their way towards Seb.
"Seb," Carlos said as they drew closer, "what's the matter? The music's vamping so long I feel like I'm stuck in an elevator."
"I don't know if I can do this."
Gideon shook her head and smiled, "Are you kidding me? You've been so amazing so far. It's jitters, we all have them."
"You are the only person who can pull this off." Carlos said.
He turned both of them around and pointed towards the crowd, "My family bought out three rows of bleachers. I don't wanna let them down."
