Here we go again. The same feeling. The same wonderful satisfying feeling. We left the office with screaming memories and dirty actions. My office was a mess. I wasn't gonna clean that up. We left the building and went home. When we get their we go to find Ashley. She was still in the same place in the guest room. We walked in. She was under the covers and didn't see us come in. We sat on the bed on opposite sides of her.
"Ashley." I said.
She didn't move.
"Ashley." Jordan
She still didn't move. Jordan looked at me. We frowned.
I put my hand on her. I could feel that she flinched. Jordan put his hand on her as well. I could feel her body relax.
"Ashley...you know we love you right?" I said.
"We only want what's best for you." Jordan added.
"We want a family with you, we do genuinely. We just feel that with all of our successes, we won't have time for a baby." I said.
"We just want our full attention on our child."
She still didn't move.
"You'll get to name it when we have it." I said smiling.
She moved and took the comforter off her face. She had dry tears on her face. She smiled.
"I'm sorry. I did the most. I understand where you guys are coming from. I just want us to be a family."
"And we will be. I promise." Jordan said.
"What about...a year?"
She looked at me confused.
"One year and we can have a child. What you think?"
Ashley smiled. Jordan shook his head in agreement.
"Then it's settled."
"If we have a boy, I will name it Jordan."
Jordan smiled with a blush in his face.
"What about a girl?" I asked.
"I don't know. Maybe something lyrical."
"Lyric?"
"That's cute." Jordan said.
We all smiled.
"Who would have it?" Ashley asked.
Ashley immediately frowned at the question and looked at me.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean.." She apologized.
"It's okay. Trust me, I wouldn't want to go through that anyways."
She laughed.
We were okay now. Everything was fine. Everything back to normal. NOT!!
I went to work with a big smile on my face. I don't know what it was but I was just in a really good mood. I was looking good though so maybe that was it. I sat in my clean office. It took me a while to clean that up. Jordan helped me though. A week later, it's still clean. I got through the day pretty well. I had a meeting with Jazmine again. She was so determined.
"So, this is what I was thinking." Jazmine started.
When she talked, her lips moved like water. I couldn't keep my eyes off of them. I woke up from my zone and shook my head in agreement. Her legs when she walked was so attractive. Stop! I told myself. But I can look. No you can't, I said. I stopped arguing with myself when Jayla walked in.
"Hi. Ms. Kelly."
"Hi Jayla." I said excitingly.
"In a good mood today, are we?"
"Yea. I don't know why."
"I might have a few ideas." She said placing a folder on my desk.
"No getting worked on a work night remember." I said chuckling.
"So what's with the good mood."
"I don't know. Maybe it's the day."
She shrugged her shoulders and told me about the folder. I did my work for the day and left for home. I walked in the house and there were a bunch of balloons and streamers around the living room. Jordan and Ashley were standing at the door.
"What's al this?" I asked.
"You don't know." Jordan asked.
I shrugged my shoulders.
"It's our Anniversary!" He said excitedly.
"No, it's not. It's not until next month."
"No. Not OUR anniversary. It's you and I anniversary."
It took me a second but I realized it was our anniversary. Just Jordan and I. For 16 years. Crazy.
"Why are we celebrating this? We haven't since Ashley."
"Well, when I saw it in my calendar. I wanted to do something for you. So, we're having a party."
He raised his hands in excitement.
I smiled and went to hug them. We partied all night and had so much fun. We ate and drank our hearts out. I fell asleep in our room. I was tired and wore out. I had fun though. I woke up with a force. I didn't feel good. Something wasn't right. I rushed out the bed into the bathroom. I threw up in the toilet. Wasn't the best feeling. I guess I had too much to drink last night I thought to myself. But then I thought something else. Maybe it wasn't drinks. But that was impossible. Then I realized that I was forgetting some very important information. I missed my period. It wasn't possible. I went to the store in a rush and came back home. I screamed. It wasn't possible. Jordan and Ashley came running up to see what I was screaming for. I showed them. Jordan and Ashley looked at each other with a scared looked.
"HOW!" I screamed and cried.
I was pregnant.
