Iruka's POV
The next morning I woke earlier than usual and took my time getting ready.
"I hope she's OK, I worry since I didn't see her off to her house. I shouldn't though, she is a Sannin after all." I said and sighed.
I headed to the Academy to get the classroom ready for the day. When the time came kids began filing in and as more the time got closer for class to start the more worried I got seeing she wasn't here.
"Iruka-Sensei, isn't Miss Yukino supposed to be here today?" Sakura asked.
"She could be busy Sakura, she is a Sannin." I reminded them and myself.
After class was over I gathered my things and ran them home and then Naruto ran up to me as I was walking towards her apartment building.
"Yuki didn't come home last night." He said, slightly panicked.
"She could have gone to a friends." I said and Naruto shook his head.
"She told me she didn't have any friends here. None that she was close to like that." He told me.
"Well why don't we go ask the Hokage if he knows anything? Maybe he sent her on a mission." I said and smiled at him even though I felt like her disappearance was my fault.
We made it to the Hokage's office and knocked and were called in.
"What can I do for you Iruka and young Naruto?" He asked.
"Did you send Yuki on a mission last night after Academy let out?" Naruto asked instantly.
"Yukino? No, I haven't seen her since yesterday morning when she asked me for a job. Perhaps you seen where she went after Academy was let out?" He asked us.
"She was at my house to grade papers after and then we ate dinner together and she left. I insisted she let me walk her home but she wouldn't let me." I said, frowning. If the Hokage hadn't sent her on a mission then where was she?
"Perhaps Master Jiraiya contacted her and she went to him, did either of you check her home for a note?" He asked and we shook our heads.
"Iruka, go do that please, Naruto can wait here with me." He said and I nodded, bowing and then running to her house. I walked in and flipped on a light, looking around and seen a note tapped to her fridge. Naruto must have not heard her come home to leave it here.
'Headed to Master Jiraiya, will be home in a couple days -Yukino'
I read it over and then ran back to the Hokage where I handed him the note and he and Naruto read it over.
"She didn't even say goodbye." Naruto said and frowned.
"If she left that late it was probably very important Naruto." I said and then the door busted open and an angry Yukino stood there.
"Wonderful of you to join us Yukino." Lord Third said.
"I'm terribly sorry I left without much notice, the perverted Sage led me to believe it was important." She said and bowed. Naruto ran over to her and hugged her.
"I was worried when I didn't hear you come home last night." He said and she smiled down at him and pat his head.
"Would you mind if I asked what Master Jiraiya needed?" Lord Third asked her. She looked angry again.
"Apparently he could't find any good 'research' for his books and wanted me to come back to help him. When I got there and found out why he called me I left immediately." She said and smiled.
"I'm sorry for his antics. Why don't you go on home and get some rest Yukino." He told her and she nodded.
"I'm walking you home." I said and turned, leading the way for her and Naruto.
"Iruka, you seem upset." She said and I looked back at her.
"I'm fine." I said and sighed at myself. I really had no right to be upset and she was okay so that was all that mattered.
"Naruto, here. Take some money and go get yourself some Ramen, I know you haven't eaten anything since this morning." She said and handed him enough money for quiet a few bowls of money. He smiled up at her and hugged her and ran off.
"Now, do you want to tell me why you're upset Umino?" She asked.
"I- it's nothing." I said and she walked up beside me.
"You can tell me." She said, looking at me. She stopped in front of me and we both stared at each other for a moment. I sighed.
"I was worried, you left my place and then just pretty mush vanished. I felt like something might have happened to you and I might have been able to prevent it had I been there. I'm glad you're okay though." I said. She looked at the ground and her nose and cheeks tinted a cute pink. Seeing her blush made me blush as well and I looked away and rubbed the back of my neck.
"Come on, I'm sure you're tired so let's get you home." I said and she nodded, following me to her apartment. She walked inside after bowing and thanking me for walking her home and told me she would certainly be at class tomorrow.
