EMOTIONAL

He was always insecure of his own emotions. Of course he didn't cry as much as he used to, at least not in public, but he remained obvious of his issue. His friends would make fun of him for being too sensitive and he would push them away or blow up on them, only proving their point further. Clyde was sick of being so damn emotional, as he thought he was.

Being with you, he believed that he was getting better. He never actually did but he was just happy whenever he spent time with you, and lately that's been a lot more often. However, when emotions are bottled up for so long, they tend to break loose at any given time.

You were coming over to his home for movie night, which you guys did every Friday at his house when his dad worked late. Clyde was making popcorn and sniffling quietly to himself. He cried, imagining a scenario where you left him for someone better. The guys brought it up that day, saying that you deserved a real man and any one of them could treat you better than ol' Clyde.

Sad thing is, he started to believe them. The knock at his door signals that you arrived. He quickly wipes his tears and rushes to the door, swinging it open much too quickly and bringing you in for a hug. "Woah– did you miss me that much? I saw you earlier!" You joke with him, kissing his cheek as you enter the home.

"Yeah, I really missed you. I guess it's just been a long day." He sighs out, watching as you put down two movie cases from Redbox and turn to face him. Immediately you light up with concern, noticing his red eyes and trembling bottom lip.

"Oh baby, what's wrong?" You ask him comfortingly, moving to take a hold of his arm. Although he should have confided in your comfort, he only wanted to push you away for calling him baby. Any other time, he would have loved it, but now it only reminded him of being tormented for being a crybaby all of his childhood. "Clyde, talk to me, babe."

"I just— I think you're going to leave me. And I love you so much, I— I don't want that to ever happen—"

"It never will happen. Clyde, did somebody do something to you? Did one of the guys say something?" You question him with full concern, attempting to hold his arm once again and he reluctantly let you do so. He nods, "They're full of shit. You know you're the best boyfriend ever."

He slightly smiles at you saying so, "Really? Fuck, I'm so sorry. This was— That was so unnecessary. I'm just too emotional sometimes and they kick at me for it."

"It's okay to be emotional. I enjoy knowing that you're not a lifeless bot."

Clyde laughs lightly at your comment, wiping away his final tear. He pulls you into a quick hug and gently kisses your lips before pulling away. "Okay, okay. So, how about that movie?"
