(Y/N) Pov:

I lowered my gun and slowly started clapping.

“Well done Lennix, or should I call you Lex? I must congradulate you on successfully tricking me and using me as a pawn just so you could get some stupid promotion. How does it feel knowing that you did it by tricking someone into stealing information from your own employer and then stealing the information from that thief and claiming that you were the one to find it” I said slowly.

Lennix seemed confused.

“You’re….you’re not going to try and stop me?” he asked, a little shocked.

“Why would I? You’re here confronting us and admitting the truth instead of going straight to Boss” I say, smirking.

Lennix stiffened up, now realizing his mistake.

“And by my guess, you have a USB in your shoulder knapsack right now, ready to pull it out and show us, but you can’t because you’re too stupid to realize your mistake. You should have gone straight to Boss when you had the chance instead of bragging about your plan like the idiot you are” I say, raising my gun and aiming it at the Imp now.

Lennix panicked and made a break for it, immediately turning and running.

“I’ll be back to finish you off Tom” I said quickly, running out of the room, leaving a scared and confused Gas Mask demon.

I quickly began flying after the Imp, weaving my way past employees who quickly sidestepped and got out of the way, allowing Lennix to run by.

I growled as he ran into the stairwell, running up instead of trying to go down.

I was a little confused as I chased after him.

He burst through the doors to the roof and took out a grappling hook gun, running to the ledge and immediately jumping off.

I stopped and watched as he used his grappling hook to swing himself along the buildings, on his way to Boss Enterprise.

I growled in anger as I quickly made chase.

I couldn’t let him get there first.

He was already farther ahead of me, so I quickly opened a quick portal, flying through as it closed. The portal opened closer to Lennix, just close enough for me to try and grab him.

Unfortunately, he quickly dodged and used the momentum to wall run along the side of the building he was currently grappled to. He jumped from the side of the building and landed on the roof of a shorter one before shooting his grappling hook gun at another.

I quickly flew after him, opening another portal, but I decided to lower his guard before appearing.

Tom’s Pov:

As I watched the female spy chase after the Imp, I shook my head, snapping out of my daze before running after them.

I ran past Katie, who was standing in the hall, confused.

“Tom? What’s going on?” she asked, clutching her mug of coffee tightly in her hand.

“Nothing important” I said, running past her. I burst through the doors to the stairs, nearly running off the edge, but managed to clutch the hand rails before I could accidentally flip over them at full speed. I looked up and saw that they were going up.

I huffed in anger.

I’ll never catch up to them now.

(Y/N) was only pretending to like me just so she could retrieve the stolen documents I stole from her employer. Why should I even care if I see her again?
