(Y/N) Pov:
Me and Boss were standing outside, making sure everyone had escaped the building.
Boss looked down at his watch.
“Five minutes until the computer virus deletes all remaining files from the main database. Let’s hope your brother manages to hack into the USB before it does” said Boss, glancing over at me.
“I hope so too, but I left my phone up there with him so he can escape before the bomb goes off” I said, nodding my head in agreement.
All of the staff and employees were standing back, a good distance away from the building, incase the bomb goes off.
“Do you think you can do a Shadow Sweep to try and find the bomb before it goes off?” asked Boss.
“I tried, but it came up with nothing. Wherever Lennix placed the bomb, it must be somewhere that hinders my powers useless” I said, shaking my head.
I then gasped.
“Unless...the only place that hinders my powers useless is... the dungeon!” I exclaimed.
Boss gasped.
“That’s right! The cells have a special device that blocks demons from using their powers. Lennix must have hidden the bomb down there” said Boss, understanding.
“And we left Tom down there!” I said in panic, now remembering that Gas Mask demon.
“Shit…” said Boss.
Tom’s Pov:
“HEY! IS ANYONE THERE! SOMEONE PLEASE HEAR ME! THE BOMB IS DOWN HERE!” I screamed as loudly as I could.
The countdown for the bomb was still ticking down.
It was currently counting down from 25 minutes.
“IS SOMEONE OUT THERE!?” I screamed loudly.
“No use in trying Trench” said the voice of Lennix over the intercom.
“Where are you? And how can you hear me?” I asked, looking around the cell.
Lennix chuckled.
“There are microphones and hidden cameras in each cell. I can see and hear everything you say or do just fine from where I am. And I don’t think I like your behavior. I think I’ll punish you by speeding up the countdown for the bomb. Let’s say, ten minutes left?” said Lennix mockingly, chuckling evilly.
“WHAT!?” I said in shock.
I turned my gaze back at the bomb in the cell across from me and watched as the countdown changed to 10 minutes left, counting down.
“You son of a bitch!” I yelled angrily, looking around to see if I can spot the hidden camera.
Lennix just laughed, enjoying my panic.
“Well, it was good knowing you for a short amount of time Trench. But now, I must take my leave” said Lennix.
I growled in anger.
My attention was then drawn to a portal opening just outside my cell.
(Y/N) appeared on the other side of the laser wall.
“(Y/N)! The bomb is in the other cell!” I said quickly.
“Tom!” she said, relieved that I was alright. She then turned her gaze to the other cell across from mine, spotting the bomb.
