The lunch definitely was catching up with Minho.
Maybe he shouldn't have gotten french fries and should've just went with a sandwich. He felt bad about eating fatty products at that time of the day. Or at all, for that matter.
"Min, Min, look! My mum saved some pics of us together in high school!" the younger male exclaimed excitedly, running into his old room with a box in his hands.
After going on their date, Jisung got a message from his mum, asking if he was going to visit anytime soon. The shorter said he could drop by today, so here they are. In Jisung's old, dusty and edgy room, full of emo posters and other stuff he was obsessed with at the time, like buying miniature objects. There was a small bus located on his desk, and some other objects on his shelves.
The smaller boy held up a polaroid proudly; it had Minho and him posing on it for a selfie, both making peace signs. Other pictures were school pictures, but one caught Minho's eye.
"I was so skinny back then," he murmured as he held the newfound picture in his hand, Jisung cuddling up into the older's side to be able to look at the picture too.
It was a picture of him and Jisung swimming in Jisung's backyard pool in summer. Well, not necessarily swimming; Minho stood with his arms up in the air, bright smile on his face. His ribs were clearly visible and his arms were bony, his legs almost looking like sticks as he stood in his loose swimming trunks.
The younger male gasped at the picture, looking back and forth at the picture and present Minho.
"Holy fuck.. please don't ever get that skinny again," the latter cried out as he pushed his face into the side of the taller's arm, pressing small kisses to the skin.
"I think.. well.. I like how skinny I was."
Jisung's eyes widened at the statement as he froze in place.
"W-what?" he questioned as he looked up, still partly horrified by the words that had left his boyfriend's mouth. Minho didn't meet his gaze, though; he kept his eyes locked on his figure in the picture.
"Minho.." Jisung exhaled, cupping the older's jaw to make them face each other.
"Don't you like how skinny I was?" the taller spoke softly, but the words felt like venom.
"No. No, I didn't, Minnie. You were literally all bones, you were barely human. You ate one small portion of rice for lunch or you didn't eat anything. If you ate something that you thought had too many calories, you would starve yourself for days. Minnie, you still thought you were chubby and fat even though you looked like that," Jisung gestured to the picture in his boyfriend's hands before continuing, "that wasn't being skinny, Min. That was anorexia. You were suffering and you were weak, remember the amount of times you've passed out at school because you hadn't eaten? If you want to lose weight, fine, if that's what you want, I'll try to help you, but I won't ever let you look like that again."
By now, Minho had tears in his eyes, a few slipping out down his cheeks as Jisung wordlessly wiped them away.
Minho had gotten a lot better since high school. He looked human. He had curves, even, and his ribs didn't show very clearly anymore. His wrists weren't as bony anymore; he could still wrap his middle finger around it despite his small hands, but Jisung was glad that it didn't look like the bones were sticking out anymore.
"Do you remember the first time you didn't count calories? You were laughing so loud, you just seemed so happy overall. I was really glad I could distract you," the younger leaned in, his voice gently as he spoke.
"You look so pretty as you are now, so stop crying. You're going to let those galaxies breathe sometime, you know," Jisung joked, referring to Minho's eyes as galaxies. They were; they sparkled so brightly and it was so easy to lose yourself in that deep brown color.
"I love you," the older's lips trembled and his voice cracked, but Jisung pressed forward a kiss anyway.
"I love you too. I'm sorry, I didn't know those pictures would trigger you. I can put them away, if you want to?"
"No, no, I.. I'm gonna look at them more and now I'm going to only look at how nice I look now. Bones that show don't look healthy, it doesn't look pretty. I'm gonna look at how pretty I am."
"Holy shit," the shorter breathed out, amazed by the older's words, "you promise?"
"Yes, I promise! I've got thighs now.. that's good, right?"
"Yeah, Minnie, I love your curves so much, your thighs and just your whole body. It's so perfect, you are perfect."
"Look at this one! I remember you saying I had the weight of a feather," the taller spoke as he showed Jisung a picture of the latter carrying the other on his back.
"You still have the weight of a feather to me. You're so light and so easily to manhandle, it's almost kinky."
Minho gasped and laughed loudly before screeching out "my weight is kinky?!" with slight giggles in between.
"Hey, this one I don't remember, why were you upset?" the older held up a picture of Jisung facing the camera, pouted lips and furrowed eyebrows, his arms crossed.
"Look at the background," the younger male looked away in embarrassment as he heard Minho chuckle.
"Felix was so nice, it was sad to see him go back to Australia," the older stifled a laugh as Jisung only rolled his eyes.
"He liked you, it was so obvious, he texted you daily and everything.."
"Always have been jealous and possessive, huh?"
"Don't say it like that, it makes me feel bad!"
"I love my jealous and possessive boyfriend," Minho smiled and cuddled up to the younger, pressing a gentle kiss to the other's lips.
It felt like youth, kissing in Jisung's musky room and the always open window letting a spring breeze catch both boys' hair.
