Mission 16 : Hell fire

I grab Renees clothes and stuff them into a Bag. She looks at me, her eyes saying I'm betraying her. Our eyes lock on each others until the ringing phone catches my attention.

"What!" I snap hurrying to shove the last of her clothes into the bag.

"Relax it's me" shay's voice was concerned.

"I'm happy to hear your voice" I fight back the urge to cry "I need Renee to be back in the states by tomorrow"

"What happened?" I hear him clicking away on his laptop, I must be on loud speaker.

"I was kidnapped, now before you get all worked up I'm still alive and well but I'm scared for my girl, she's not fit to fight in this war" I babble.

"Wow calm down what war kiddo? What did you get yourself into?"

I think carefully before speaking "I've been put in some sort of a sick game. I need her safe, please Shay" I sigh desperate for his help.

"Okay I've already booked the flight but you need to sign the papers for her lone flight" he coughs loudly "I'll pick her from the airport with Carlos" I soften at spicy's name.

"Thank you when do I need her at the airport?"

"According to your time in four hours" I relax visibly.

"I owe you once again"

"Just stay alive kiddo" I can imagine him smirking.

"I can't be killed that easily" I smile, and end the call. Turning to Renee. She's crying, she knows she has to leave. I Kneel in front of her. "I'm sorry" I hug her delicate frame. Rubbing her back I feel tears leave my own eyes. No ones made of stone I know that from first hand experience.

"There you go" I sign the paperwork and slide it back under the glass the airport worker smiles over sweetly at me.

"Thank you, her escort will arrive an hour prior to the flight" she hands me Renees ticket her thick German accent making it hard to understand her. I nod her thanks and walk with Renee towards a small gift shop. Her eyes puffy from tears.

I pick out two silver neckless's their pendants were a glowing heart shaped crystal wrapped in swirling design of wire. I pick up another teddy and bracelet before paying and leaving with Renee to go eat at macdonalds.

The escort stewardess looks at us kindly. I kneel down in front of Renee, I put one of the neckless's on her and put the other on myself "now we can always be together" I hand her the cute stitch teddy. and put the bracelet on her. "never take the bracelet off no matter what okay?" She nods her tear filled eyes looking at me. I can't hold back anymore I cry freely holding her close to me.

"Sorry miss but the flight will be leaving soon" she taps my shoulder. I nod at her and look back at Renee. Is this really the best decision for her? I shake my head to clear it. I kiss her cheek one more time before letting the stewardess take her away.

I take the phone out of my pocket. Renee's location flashes at me from the screen. I ring shay "she's just about to board the flight."

"Yeah we know" it wasn't shays voice. It was Carlo's voice. "are you okay?" He asks his accent tearing me inside.
I don't answer and he speaks up again. "should I find you, maybe I'll scare it out of shay where you are Chica"

I laugh "good luck with that" I sigh " I'll be fine, I need you to deliver Renee to an address for me, I'll text you the address shortly before her flight lands."

"Who's going to look after her?" He grunts.

I know he's not gonna like my answer so I do what I think is best, I lie "Amber will pick her up"
