Erin POV: I watched the doctor.

Doc: put her into a coma.

Assistant: yes sir.

He walked up till Kelly.

Doc:  Lieutenant,

Kelly: what happened?

Doc: she still has good vitals, but...

Kelly: but, what?

Doc: she may never wake up, it's up to her.

I watched Kelly go into the men's room and then he broke down into tears.

Next thing I knew, I was at the bridge the first sight of the supposed murder. Someone was next to me..

Her: mom you have to wake up.

Me: what?

Her: I know you think that if you die out would all be over , but he won't stop until he gets what he wants.

Me: and what's that?

Her: depends on who you're asking.

Me: Melissa Ann Severide, what does he want.

Melissa: how'd you know my name?

Me: I don't know.

Melissa: mom he wants you .

Me: I want Kelly, no one else.

Melissa: then wake up,

Me: I don't know how to.

Kelly POV: they took her into a room, and I went into the bathroom to cry my eyes out. Shay came to see if I was OK

Shay : she's going to be OK, I promise.

Jay POV: I heard that Lindsay was in surgery. So, after I got checked out, I went to use the bathroom, where I found Kelly. He had been crying.

Me: she's not dead is she?

Kelly: no.

Me: than how is she?

Kelly: I don't know.

Me: you know how she is ,likes to give us a good scare.

Kelly: I know.

Me: have you sent her?

Kelly: yeah, looks like she's sleeping.

Me: I'll go see her.

Three weeks later:

Kelly POV: I was by her bedside as I woke up.

Good morning I told her . What I would give to see those ocean eyes again.

Me: Erin you have to wake up. Then I thought about what she would say to that "have" to is a strong word. Then Shay came in with breakfast.

Shay: go home I'll watch her.

Me: you'll let me know if she wakes up, right?

Shay: of course.

I went home to take a nap, but I couldn't sleep.

Erin POV: "have to" is a strong word. People say that if you're in a coma you can't hear anything, not entirely true you can hear but not respond. I know exactly when Kelly leaves the stroking of my hair stops and the room changes temperature.

Shay: I know you can hear me, so don't play stupid.

I almost smiled.

Shay: Kelly's hurting, he loves you. You may think that the maniac will stop since your half dead but he will come after all leg us for loving you we need you Erin.

A tear rolled down my cheek.

Shay: oh my God.

Shay: please wake up Erin, I know you can.

When I opened my eyes Kelly was in the door way.
