Delirious pov:

I took off my mask and looked in the mirror. The scar going up and down my eye was long and healed but made a nasty scar. One of the reasons why I wear that mask. Smaller cuts were on my cheekbone and jawline.

I traced each cut with tears forming in my eyes. My mother was an angle, so was my father. Both were the best until they were gone. Cody was the one who gave me all the scares. Every time I failed or messed up it was a cut, kick, bruise, anything to learn from my mistake. I learned to get used to it. The long one on my cheek was from the night they were killed.

I shook my head violently and wiped the tears out of my eyes and made my face emotionless. The way it should always be.

"Hey del?" I heard Luke's voice from the other side of the door. In my room. I put my mask on and opened my door.

"What?" I croaked. Luke realized the tone in my voice and took my hand and led me to the bed.

"I'm sorry for the past but I just wanted to tell you good night." Luke said. How voice sounded gentle and kind. Something he always gave me.

"Night bro." I said with a smile. He smiled back even though he didn't see me smile. Luke knew what my face looked like but didn't say anything about my mask.

I changed into a pair of sweatpants with no shirt on and climbed into my bed. Laying on my side I tried to close my eyes and forget. Forget the screaming, my young cries, the face that my parents had when I was taken. Tossing and turning all night didn't big me. I did it a lot.

I finally was able to close my eyes, get into a comfortable position and go to bed.

Time skip to middle to night:

I opened my eyes to the sound of a rustling sound at my window. I wasn't even sure if I was dreaming the sound or not. Staring at the dark window for a few second, very slowly my window began to slide open, long thin fingers gripping the glass.

My eyes widened, heart pounded, breathing froze. For a moment I was paralyzed in fear. Something was silently sliding my window open in the dead of night and coming into my bedroom.

My fear soon turned into some kind of primal aggregation. Anger boiling in my veins. As quietly as I could I rose from my bed and reached for my bat, hidden in the crook of my bed frame.

The dark shape was climbing through my curtains, it's lanky arms reaching down to my floor, crawling, almost slithering in.

I dashed to the light switch and flicked it. Not even looking at the figure I yelled out and held my bat high ready to deal a crushing blow when I hesitated. It was nothing. No shadow or creature. I dropped my bat and closed my window. What the fuck!?

Adrenaline was running through my veins and my breathe was still frozen. I began pacing my room and running my hands through my hair constantly. I'm just hallucinating and it wasn't real. Shaking my head the wooden bat layed close to my bed and the lights were turned off. I stayed frozen staring at the window.

Closing my eyes didn't help. Turning the other way didn't help. Nothing did. The fear was balled in my chest and not going away.

I forced my eyes shut and thought about my friends. Luke, ohm, Tyler, craig, lui, David, Brian, Brock, Evan... Evan. Not going to lie I had a crush on Evan. His chocolate brown eyes, jet black hair, funny personality, tan skin. He was pretty much perfect. I wasn't straight or bisexual...I was gay. And I didn't have a problem with that. Sure I wouldn't tell anyone but I was.

Next morning:

The sound of my phone's alarm blasted into my ear. I grabbed my phone and turned it off. Prying my eyes open the site of my window sent chills down my spine. I shook the thoughts out of my head and went to my bathroom. The shower was hot and relaxing.

"What to wear...what to wear." I membered to myself, tapping my finger against my chin. I picked out a royal blue sweatshirt, black jeans, a white shirt, and my vans. My ma's was a definite choice each morning. I went back into my steamy bathroom and brushed the usual white teeth and light brown hair along with putting on a few squirts of cologne. Smelling fresh.

I hopped on the rail of our stairs and stir down. Our butler shook his head with a smile and handed me my bottle of pills. They were for my trust issues and to contain my anger and anxiety. Built by Cody so it was going to work like all the other times. I snatched the pills and thanked him making my way to the kitchen. I always had my finished homework and bag there ready to run out the door.

"Here you go." I heard Lila greet. She had bags under her eyes and a frown placed on her face. She didn't sleep like me. The plate was bacon and eggs with a cup of coffee next to it. Just what I wanted.

I ate quickly and put my things in my bag. Before I ran out the door I froze. I turned to Lila and held out my fist. She started at it but connected hers with mine.

"Thanks Lila for breakfast see ya later!" I didn't look at her surprised face before I slapped Luke's back and smirked at him. He rolled his eyes and opened the door. I was in a pretty good mood today.

"So do you have the gift basket made?" Luke asked. I rummaged through my bag and pulled out a white silvery box with gold ribbon around it with a tag that said 'sorry for the trouble' sighed Jonathan Patterson. The last name was erased a few times because I put Denis.

"Lets start the day without any fight got it?" Luke growled and in a quick movement held my in a choke hold and ruffled my hair.

"Stop it Luke!" I yelled and jabbed at his side and punched him where I could reach.

"Say it." He ordered. No! We always had this game where we did this and the only way to get out is to say the sentence '(whoever's name) is the best person in the world'.

"Luke is the best person in the world!" I shouted. He let me go and had a smirk on his face. I coughed and glared at him but had a small smile on my face.

"Not!" I spat. He placed a hand on his chest and made an offended face. I started to laugh and he bucked his head and swung me over his shoulder.

"Luke!"
