Cory
Well that was a weird dream. "Babe!" Lea stirs in her sleep, so I kiss her passionately. "What I'm up!" I laugh and lay in her arms. "How many kids did we want again?" I ask. "As many as we get blessed with. Why?" I smile, kissing her face. She smiles and that's when we hear a loud thud and Cory's screams, we spring up out of bed, throw clothes on and hurry down to their room. We find Cory on top of Jasmine. "Daddy!" He cries, I kiss his head and cover his eyes and hand him to Lea, as she runs out of the room to call 911 while also trying to quiet the baby. He just turned four after all. "Shit!" I say trying to wake her up. "Jazzy?, honey, can you hear me?" I ask and no response, her pulse is shallow. "CODE BLUE!" I scream as the paramedics enter. My dream was in her voice, which makes it feel as if she was putting her romantic feelings for me to rest. Or the idea of us dating. No matter the one off moments we had, we had this kind of relationship like me and Naya have. Except I've known Jasmine since she was eight and I was nineteen. "Are you riding with us?" A paramedic asks as they wheel her by me and I grab her hand. "Yes." I say as mum walks in the house to watch Cory. Then Lea and I sit in the ambulance. "Any idea what happened?" I swallow. "Bad coke line?" The paramedic nods understandingly. "Give her Naloxone." I say without hesitation. They nod and start the drip and wheel her in to a room with me following. We just came home yesterday, she just seemed.... happy, but then again it's sister like brother with us isn't it. "C she's strong she'll get through it she's just like you." Lea says following us, I turn around and kiss her. "I am so sorry!" I say crying as she kisses my head. "She's my best friend! No I will not lose this fight!" I say and swallow. "Excuse me are you related?" Says a nurse as we get to the doors leading to the OR. "She's my sister." I say realizing I haven't let go of her hand. "Bear?" She's says weakly. "What Jazzy?" I kiss her head. "Don't leave me, please sing." She smiles. I nod. "They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
And a swinging hot spot
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got til its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
They took all the trees
And put 'em in a tree museum
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half to seem 'em
No no no
Don't it always seem to go,
That you don't know what you've got
Til its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
Hey farmer farmer
Put away the DDT
I don't care about spots on my apples
Leave me the birds and the bees
Please!
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Til its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
Hey, now they paved paradise
To put up a parking lot
Why not?
Listenin' late last night
I heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi
Took my girl away
Now, don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Til its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
Hey now, now
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got
Til its gone
They paved paradise
To put up a parking lot
Why not?
They paved paradise
To put up a parking lot
Hey hey hey
Paved paradise
To put up a parking lot
I don't want give it
Why you want give,
Why you want give it all away?
Hey hey hey
Now you want give it,
Ah she want to give it
Cause she givin' it all away
Now now now
I don't want give it
Why you want give,
Why you want give it all away?
Giving it all, giving it all away
Why you want it?
Why do you want it? (She's giving it all away)
Hey pave paradise
Put up a parking lot." I smile grabbing her other hand. "Do you know her full name?" I look at the doctors working on her flushing her body. "Her birth, adopted, or married?" She nods. Her birth name is Jasmine Rosemary Evans. Adopted name is Jasmine Rosemary Monteith, and her current name is Jasmine Rosemary Monteith Benson." She nods and puts her chart in the bed.  Then the doctor comes over and smiles. "She's ok, she'll be awake in about an hour!" I hug him tight as I finally start to breathe. "Thank you." She smiles and walks away as Lea hugs me tight. I smile as I move my feet and sit down. "Lee!" Jasmine says with excitement in her faint voice. "Jay!" She smiles. "That Sunday morning choir calling, church doors open wide
That hallelujah shoot right through ya, make you feel alive
That key under the mat, you know right where it's at
It's waiting with the porch light on
Don't bother calling, no need for knocking, just come on home
Come on home, my love is
Never gonna run dry, never gonna come up empty
Now until the day I die, unconditionally
You know I'm always gonna be here for ya
No one's ever gonna love you more than
God, your mama, and me
God, your mama, and me
Unconditionally
God, your mama, and me
Loud as shotgun, angels singing with the radio
Praying with you every mile down any dead end road
You can tell me every secret that you been keeping
I'll hold it, lock and key
Up with you all night, holding you all night, I never leave
You better believe my love is
Never gonna run dry, never gonna come up empty
Now until the day I die, unconditionally
You know I'm always gonna be here for ya
No one's ever gonna love you more than
God, your mama, and me
God, your mama, and me
Unconditionally
God, your mama, and me
You better believe it, you better believe it
Every step you take, I'll be as sure as your shadow
Every move you make, you know I'm part of you wherever you go
Baby, you know my love is
Never gonna run dry, never gonna come up empty
Now until the day I die, unconditionally
You know I'm always gonna be here for ya
No one's ever gonna love you more than
God, your mama, and me
God, your mama, and me
Unconditionally
God, your mama, and me
God, your mama, and me
God, your mama, and me
Unconditionally
God, your mama, and me."
