Chapter 10 - RIP Old friend - More terrible misfortune

I know I promised like, two chapters, But I've got a killer headache and just want to sleep, even if it fucks my school schedule up. ...Nah, I'll jsut rest the entire day, I mean, this is what I get for playing out in the rain ;;;

The sounds of chirping and a blinding light illuminated the room, shifting around, you sat up looking around. "mmhmm?" You hummed tiredly, wiping your eyes from the sight morning tears. Feeling the bed slightly, you realized someone had put a blanket over you.

"Must have been Jojo.." You mumbled before you looked over, he wasn't in bed. Shifting your legs over the bed, you stood up, gently folding the blanket back on the bed as you left his room. Walking down the corridor you wondered where he could be.

"Oh! Mistress Yn! Why were you in Jojo's room?"

Looking to your left was the head maid as she gave a soft smile to you, you returned it. "I was talking with him all last night, I must have fallen asleep." You said sheepishly as she laughed lightly, "Sounds just like you, I remember when you both were younger and you'd always stay up telling stories, how adorable you two are now!"

You turned your head to the side in embarrassment, "Oh hush.. Do you know where he is now though?" You asked turning your head back around with a curious look. She sighed softly, "I have not. I've been trying to get Master Dio to go to school! Oh! Maybe that's where Master Jonathan is?" she says, bringing her index finger up to her lip in a thinking motion.

Your eyes widened as you nodded, "Oh yes! I forgot about school today! Thank you miss..." You trailed off as she got the note, "Oh you can just call me Sarah, I'm not really one for formatives." Sarah said with a shy smile.

Nodding you starting running off to your room, not before yelling; "Okay Sarah! You can just call me Yn!"

Closing your door, you smiled at your dress, "I hope this is good enough, my school dress is in the wash.." You mutter softly with a deadpan look but continued walking. While traveling down the stairs you saw Sarah, waving softly she happily waved back with excitement.

"See you later Yn!" She cheered with a cute smile, you nodded and saluted your hand slightly, "Same to you Sarah! Don't work too hard!" You said cheerfully and opened the front door. Closing it behind you, your eye caught a quick glimpse of the blonde.

Turning around fully, you saw him walking a different direction from where school was. Narrowing your eyes you shrugged your shoulders. "I wonder what he's up to.. But I'll be late for school."

Small droplets of rain started to fall, one of the butlers, whom was on trash duty today, was carrying a barrel of trash, his breathing uneven as this was putting a strain on his old body. Finally at the incinerator, he placed the barrel down, looking up at the sky with a sigh.

"My, seems like the rains gonna come down heavy, I better do this before it burns the fire out." He muttered, the sky was a cloudy grey though, it wasn't even spitting. He looked over at the incinerator, there was a crate inside, which wasn't too odd, but it did seem a little off putting.

"Hm? Well, here we go!" He grunted as he picked the barrel up again, throwing the trash inside of the incinerator. Feeling complete, he chucked the barrel along in before pulling out a cigar from his vest pocket.

He grabbed a match a lit it on the box, placing it back in his pocket as he lit his cigar. His back shivered slightly, his thoughts still on the box. "Well, whatever... One of the maids must have thrown it away..."
