Violet POV:
"This may sound crazy but I think I just saw a snake with seven heads. " I said to my friend Carson. He had been acting a bit strange since last Tuesday where I could have sworn our barista had fangs. Maybe he is just paranoid. It might also be because I saw the new kid at school, with all the girls swooning over his black hair and green eyes, stab the same barista, only for her to turn to dust. Also, I didn't tell him this, but I think I saw hooves underneath his socks the other day. I must be imagining things, after all, I am in Middle School now. Stress is pretty common I guess."You're probably just imagining it, come in, let's go to band" Carson responded in a squeaky voice. "Was that a voice crack I just heard? By the way, why do you play the PAN FLUTE of all instruments?" I questioned. We had been friends for a while, but I didn't ever think too much about it. It's a bit weird for BAND, but apparently our teacher, Ms. Maria, needs it for the pieces she does. "Well, I've been playing it for years. I might as well play it in band." he said matter-of-factly. We continued talking all the way to band whenI saw we had a substitute. Substitutes in band are the worst because they rarely even know how to play an instrument, much less teach us about time signatures. "Hello Violet, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Ms. Nicky. I've heard a lot about you from your father."
