"Hello, reservation for Green?" my dad said. "Thank you sir. Please wait a minute." the man said. My dad came and sat next to me and Roland. I looked around at all the guests, mostly people who likely had moved here from the Caribbean or their ancestors did. I saw a few old white couples who looked grossed out, likely from the amount of people speaking patois or slang. One lady who looked literally like an old hag went up the the front desk. Who cares?
———————————————10 Minutes Later——————————————
My dad went up to the desk since it had been a while. The man didn't even talk to him. "Hello? Sir?" He said. The man looked up and said "I'm sorry sir, but we can't let you stay here. A guest has complained about you and we try to keep our customers happy." "What? Why?" "I cannot convey private information to you, sorry. We must ask you to leave the premises."I saw the old lady look at my dad and then look at us as she mumbled to her husband "Serves them right, immigrant fags." Oh hell no. Why the heck? I knew people could be blatantly homophobic, but FAG? That's just terrible. The hate crime rate has SUPPOSEDLY been toned down, but clearly not. All the hotels in the French Quarter are full so we can't go to any other hotels. My dad walked back to us with a dejected look on his face. I didn't have the heart to tell them what I saw, mostly because it would get them both really angry. "We have to head out guys, I'm sorry. There aren't anymore hotels so we have to drive back." So much for having a vacation.
————————————AN: Sorry for Short Chapter——————————
Sorry for the mega short chapter, I wrote it in like 30 minutes. Also, fun news! We're getting close to CHB time and I need a Clarisse type enemy for my girl Violet. I'm going to leave it up to you all to create them. Please either dm me or comment to get a chance. Have a good day/night!!! Please note that the old hag doesn't portray any of my views, I swear.
