We Didn't Finish

Felix got so happy when he thought Changbin was leaning in for a hug, and he started to reach out to hug back, but his face fell when Changbin quickly pulled away from him and sat down. They got right to work. They study hall seemed to drag on and on because their project was so incredibly boring. Right before the hour ended they both agreed they wouldn't be able to get it done in just that class, but it was due right away the next morning. 

"Hey why dont you just come over to my house later? We can finish it then." Changbin mentioned as they packed up. Felix blushed and thought about it.

"Just me and him at his house?" He thought to himself and smiled before nodding happily. "That sounds like a great idea!" Changbin let himself smile again, but stopped suddenly and got up. No matter how much he liked Felix he still couldn't steal him away from Chan. He sighed and looked at the floor worriedly. At this point he couldn't just take back the invitation to his house. That wouldn't be fair to Felix and they wouldn't get their work done. He didn't even think Felix liked him in that way, but he needed to find a way to keep himself accountable. He had an idea.

As soon as the bell rang they both rushed off to their next class, but first Changbin tracked Chan down in the hall and asked him a question. Chan agreed happily and they parted ways. 

Just like how the hour before the study hall seemed to take forever because Felix couldn't wait to see Changbin, this hour was he same way. It was the last hour of the day so Felix planned to rush home afterwards, get changed, ask his parents if he could go to a friends house to do some schoolwork, and then walk over to Changbin's house. 

The bell rang and he rushed home. Everything went just as planned, he put on nice clothes instead of his school uniform and grabbed what he needed out of his bag. He put on his shoes and walked the short distance to Changbin's house after texting him for directions. He stood on the front step and fixed his hair in the reflection in the window, smiling and knocking happily. But it wasn't Changbin that opened the door and invited him inside...

It was Chan.
