Chapter two: Evil intentions

This paragraph is going to be long but, it may be a little boring as it is needed to make the story more understandable and we may also find out who he is and who is trying to kidnap Cassandra. Chapter two: Evil intentions.

Derrick's P.O.V.

"I still can't believe that you did that to her wall. Yes I did leave those letters for her but, I would never hurt her the way you did. She is absolutely terrified." I yelled.

He suddenly had me by my throat against the house before I could even blink my eyes. He went to say something but, then we could hear someone walking down the stairs.

"Shit get out of here now, I will meet you tomorrow don't come back to the house when she is here it is too dangerous for all of us." I demanded. As he ran off Cassandra opened the front door with a worried look upon her face.

"Are you alright Derrick? I heard screaming." She was on high alert looking for possible signs of danger.

If only she knew that the danger was standing right in front of her. If only she knew what awaited her, If only she knew of my betrayal. Cassandra didn't deserve to be fought over like a child's toy, she didn't deserve to be the cause for a war, and most importantly she didn't deserve to be lied to days on end. He wanted to change that, he wanted to open her eyes to our world, he wanted to love her in the way she deserved but, he also hurt her in a way she didn't deserve.

He may be her mate but, he did not deserve to be with her after his stunt this morning. It was one thing to send her parents threatening notes but, to paint her room in animal blood was a whole new low even for him. The saying is that a mate goes crazy when they are kept from their mate so long and when they come into contact for the first time in a long time it sends the male nuts. His wolf would be pining and he would be constantly aroused but, it was still no excuse to hurt my best friend. Just because I have lied to her does not mean I haven't done it to protect her. I may hate him at the moment but, he does have a right to see his mate and I know that he will look after her. He has been searching for over six years. The only people who actually knew where Cassandra moved was her parents, they didn't even tell her brothers. Cassandra was not allowed to tell anyone where she was living but, she let slip when she first moved to New Zealand and he almost got her. Unfortunately Andrew Italiano got to her first and moved her away and this time she never told a soul.

Even now that she is home she hasn't told a soul where she is living as she intends to go back home at the end of her sister's wedding. Unknown to her though is the fact that she will not be returning home nor will she be staying with her family either. He is coming for her, it may be days, nights, hours, minutes or seconds but he will come for her. He will not knowingly hurt her, but he did hurt her tonight. If only things could be done the easy way and not done in such a violent way. If only she knew who else was coming for her not all in this world are good. He may be her mate but, he has his twin brother who is also Cassandra's mate and he too is searching for her. If only she knew the dangerous world within she lived, if only she knew the dangers within her own front yard, if only she knew the dangers within her own heart. Cassandra was unaware that werewolves inhabited the earth. Lucky for her she wasn't aware that our mortal enemy's vampires also existed. If a vampire got wind that he had found his mate and she was human they would not hesitate in taking her hostage and using her as a person blood bank.
