I was really excited because this year, on Christmas Eve, there was going to be a ball. Pansy and Ruby convinced me to go to Hogsmeade with them to look for a dress. We had decided to look for matching dresses but in different colours because why not? Well, unless we all saw a dress that we really liked. To be honest, I'm rather surprised that they managed to convince me to go shopping with them.

"You ready to go? We don't want to be late getting down there." Draco said, knocking on the door before coming in.

"Year hold on just one second. Let me just get my shoes on." I said as I walked over to my bed and sat on it as put my high heeled boots. Even though it was winter and the ground was covered in snow, I could keep a steady pace and keep upright. Plus they went well with my outfit.

"Hey, isn't that my shirt? I thought I lost that." He said. I smirked to myself, remembering what he had said the last time we went to Hogsmeade.

"Didn't someone say that because we're dating, what's his is mine and what's mine is his?" I said. He just rolled his eyes took a hold of my hand as we walked together down to the common room where I was soon pulled away from Draco by Pansy. I frowned at the loss of contact with him but then smiled as he was grabbed a hold of by Blaise and Theo. I'm guessing they were also going shopping for their suits.

"Come on Sylv. We're meeting ruby by the Great Hall where everyone else is. Apparently, Blaise had asked her out while you two were studying or something like that. He pulled her off to the side while you and Draco sat and chatted for a while." She said.

"Yeah, I know. I was sitting right there when it happened. Also Draco and I set them up and Ruby was in on it." I said.

"O h well, I'm still really excited to pick out a dress." She said, jumping up and down slightly.

"Come on you two. Let's go and find a dress." Ruby said, appearing seemingly out of nowhere until I realised we had reached the Great Hall already.

"What about this one?" Ruby asked, holding up a blue dress but I didn't really like it. She went back to the rack, looking at the other dresses.

"Ooh! I love this one. I think I might try this one on." She exclaimed not even two minutes later. She held up at grey and white gradient dress. It looked absolutely stunning.

"You really should try that one on. It will complement your figure perfectly. I'll see if I can find one that I like." I said, finally getting up off of the chair I was sat on for the past five minutes as Pansy went to get us some mince pies and butterbeers so that we could have something to eat and drink. I stood up and went over to a rack that looked like it had some promise. It was mostly black dresses with a few grey ones her and there. I looked through them for a bit until I saw one that caught my eye. It was gorgeous and I knew that this was the dress that I wanted to wear. Just then Ruby came out and she looked beautiful in her dress.

"You are getting that dress and no arguments. I don't care what you say that's the dress you are wearing. Now, what do you think about this one? I really like it." I said, speaking really quickly, not giving her time to make a single comment until I was finished but even then, she only laughed at me.

"You should try it on and see. I've never really seen you in a dress. Also you look great, wearing the Hufflepuff house colours." She said. I hadn't actually noticed the colours of my, Draco's, shirt that was tied around my waist.

"Shut up and go and get back into your clothes so that I can put this on." I said, rolling my eyes at her. She walked back, wobbling in the heels that came with the dress, to get changed. When she returned, so did Pansy and I walked into the changing rooms that Ruby had just come out of. I returned after doing my hair as well. Pansy looked at me and her jaw dropped with shock.
