Backbenders

My body was freezing like I'd been drenched in a icy pond and stuck underneath.

Last thing I remembered was the beautiful birds and the trees. My eyes slowly opened, first there was a door far off straight, ahead then I realized my body was on a bed with blood red sheets.

And my clothes were missing.

I gasped and went to cover up only to come to realize I couldn't move my arms.

Like lightening my head snapped up, iron cuffs clasped my wrists and connected to the black stone wall on a hook chain. I tugged roughly the heavy weights slamming loudly against the smooth black stone.

"There's no need for any of that."

My body jolted and my legs went still.

"Who are you?"

I glance up at a tall man? I couldn't tell what he was.

He looked weird..I've never seen anyone look the way he did. He had brown wavy hair and bright hazel eyes and beautiful brown skin.

He was handsome.

Just not hell, kind of handsome.

If I'd known better I'd say he looked human handsome. But then again I'd never seen a human before.

"Im, Vex."

He leans on the huge post of the master bed and smiles down at me his eyes taking over my exposed body.

"Why am I here?"

He moved and sat down near my feet.

"Because."

I squinted my eyes at him.

"Because?"

Vex laughed and shrugged.

"I don't know."

My eye twitched.

"Then why the fuck am I here?!"

I yanked on the chains and kicked my legs. Vex got off the bed and raised his eye brows.

"Damn, your kind is feisty..."

My breathing was rough and ragged my eyes wide and furious.

"But, I do admit your kind is also the most beautifulest."

I shook my head and gave the chains another yank.

"And what's your fucking kind?!"

Vex purses his lips trying not to laugh.

"I'm a realm traveler."

My heart stopped.

Could he cast a portal?

I immediately sat up straight and gave him a nice gentle smile.

"Oh...I'm Gabrial."

I shook my head to rid my thoughts.

"T-then why did those backbenders capture me?"

The man looked at me.

"Oh, I guess as a gift I don't know."

Of course I hadn't thought of that.
