MagCon Adopted...Me!?

Chapter 1

Mia's P.O.V

I was lying I'm my bed looking at the dull grey ceiling of the orphanage. I hated this place and to make it even worse it was a gloomy and rainy day outside so I couldn't go out and play!! I sigh a heaving sigh and close my eyes it's about time for my nap anyways. I was just about to drift off to sleep when mrs.Anna bursts through the door! I got such a fright that I started crying!! Mrs.Anna didn't even do anything she just said, "Mia there is people downstairs that want to adopt you." I whip away my tears and my eyes go wide "w-w-weally?!" I half-scream! Mrs.Anna doesn't say anything just walks out!

Aaron's P.O.V
(A couple hours earlier)

All the boys including me were sitting on the couch on our phone with the tv in the background it's not unusual for us to be doing this! I was scrolling through twitter, when a I heard gloomy music coming from the tv, I looked up from my phone and set my eyes on the tv,they were advertising the orphanage a couple blocks down the road, the kids looked so sad but one little girl really stood out she was so cute she had light blue eyes short brown hair that was up in two little pony tails it was adorable, but she also looked really sad this almost brung a tear to my eye! I nudged Jack G who was sitting next to me he looked over at me and said "Yea?"
"Look, this is so sad!" I said pointing to the tv screen.
"Yeah it is sad, wait isn't that the orphanage down the street!?" he asked
"yeah it is!!" I replied
"You know what, I'm going to adopt a kid!" I said a little to loud!!
The rest of the boys look up from there phones and turned to face me with a confused look!
"Yeah I'm going to give a kid a good life and the love they need!!" I say again.
"You know guys that's a good idea it would be nice to give a kid the life they never yet had!!" Jack G said. All the boys looked at each other and nodded there heads! I jumped off the couch and screamed "lets gooo!!"
All the boys jumped up after me, Jack G and I grabbed our keys from the bowl since we were driving, we all walk out the door to the two cars in the driveway, Me Jack J, Taylor, Carter and Shawn go in my car and the rest go in Jack G's car, we back up and pull out of the driveway, the orphanage is only a couple blocks down the road so it doesn't take long to get there. we pull up to the orphanage everyone gets out and we walk up to the door, before I knock I admire the big red letters above the door it read "mrs.Anna's orphanage."
I bring my attention back to the door and knock. A tall thin lady answers the door, "hello boys, I'm mrs.Anna how may I help you?" She asks.
"Hello ma'am we're looking to adopt a child!" I reply.
She smiles and invites us in, mrs.Anna leads us to her office. There's to many of us so we just stand up. "So your looking to adopt a child?" mrs.Anna asks.
"Yes we are!" I answer.
"What gender a you looking for?"
I look at the boys,
"It would be nice to have another girl in the house besides mahogany!" Matt says. I nod and say "a girl!"
"Also what age group?" mrs.Anna asks.
"Um, ages 2 to 5!" I reply.
She smiles and walks over to a big filing cabinet she opens up the drawer that say '2 to 5' on it, she Hauls out a bunch of files and hands them to us.
"You can look at these, I have to go find someone's stuffed animal!! She says and walks out of the room.
There were 6 files in front of us, Nash took one and started reading it, I take one too along with a couple of other boys.
I open up my file and read through it, the little girls name was Ave, and she was 3 she was really cute, she looks like a really nice girl! I was debating if I was going to adopt her when Taylor interrupted my thoughts, "Oh my god this little girl is so cuteeee!!" I grabbed the file from his hand and scanned over it,
"Yes yes yes, this I the girl from the advertisement we are adopting her!!" I shouted,
I showed her picture to everyone and they all nodded there heads. we put all the files back on the table and waited for mrs.Anna to come back, while we were waiting we talk about Mia!! She came back a little while later and sat down at her desk. "So have you made a decision?" she asks
"Yes we have, we want Mia!" I answer. she smiles and says "good choice!" Mrs.Anna picked up the files and placed them back in the cabinet where she got them, then came back over and said "I'll go get Mia, so you can meet her!" we nodded and she disappeared around the corner! a few minutes later mrs.Anna returned, but with no Mia. "Mia is really really shy so she will be down in a minute." Mrs.Anna said. another couple minutes passed and I hear light footsteps coming down the steps then around the corner came the cutest little girl ever!! when she seen the 9 of us staring at her, her little eyes got big and her lip started to quiver, she ran behind mrs.Anna's legs and held on while a tear rolled down her cheek, mrs.Anna pushed her off but she didn't come out from behind her. I walk over and kneel down next to her, she just turns her head away.
"Hello cutie pie I'm Aaron what's your name?" I ask, she giggles and says "m-m-my n-name is Mia." I Smile and say "how about you come out and I'll introduce you to everyone?" she turns away and then puts out her hand, I take it and lead her out in front of all the boys, they smile and wave she shy's away and puts her arms up "c-can y-y-you pick m-m-e up?" she asks I know she's nervous so I pick her up and put her on my hip, she puts her arms around my neck and leans her head on my shoulder then out of know where carter yells "she's sooo cute!!!" I laugh and continue introducing, "this is, Taylor, Carter, Matthew, Nash, Cameron, Jack J, Jack G and Shawn!!" Mia gave a little wave and stuck her face in the crook of my neck!!! I rubbed her back and said "it's ok Mia, they won't bite, they might nibble but never bite!!" I felt her give a little smile into my neck! I smiled and gave her a hug to my surprise she hugged me back! "Ok Mia go back to your room and the boys will be here to pick you up in the morning, I'll be up later to help you pack your clothes." mrs.Anna said. Mia frowned and whispered in my ear "y-you will c-c-come back, wight?" I looked at her and said "of course we're coming back we will be here first thing in the morning, now you go up and have a good sleep!" She nodded and I gently placed her down on the floor, she gave a shy wave goodbye to the rest of the boys and made her way up the stairs. "Now before you leave we have to do some paperwork so you won't have to fool with it tomorrow!" mrs.Anna said. she pulled some papers out of her desk and grabbed a pen, she started filling out lines on the first sheet, then moved to the second one and asked "who's last name should I put down?" I looked at the boys not knowing what to say "well you were the one that said you wanted to adopt the child!" Nash said
"Yeah I geuss I was!" I said
"So, your last name?" mrs.Anna asked.
"Yes please, carpenter! I replied. she nodded and put that down then filed out the last couple of pages then said "I'm going to need all your signatures!" we nodded and she handed the pen to me when I was done I passed it down the line and so forth until there was at least a paragraph of signatures! I passed the pen back and she gathered up the papers stapled them and stuffed them back in her desk! "ok boys you are free to go, you can come and pick her up anytime tomorrow!" "Ok!" I said. we waved good bye and headed out the door, "wow man, I can't wait to come back and pick her up, its just like I want to give her a big hug and tell her everything will be ok!" shawn said. "Yeah,I know man!" I said. We hopped in the cars and backed out of the drive way. when we got home it was only 4:30pm, mahogany was now home so we told her about Mia, "mahogany! I said, she tuned to face me, we have a surprise!" Her eyes lit up" what is it?" she asked "we've adopted a little girl!" I replied. "oh my god really. who's the dad!? she said, "I'm the dad!" I said. she smiled and squealed "well what are we waiting for let get the spare bedroom done!" We all drove to the mall and pick out everything pink and stuff a 2 year old little girl would like! that took like 2 hours and by the time we were done shopping and setting everything up I was so tired!! Shawn was done supper just as we finished! We booted it down the stairs and fought over what spots we want at the table! Everyone took a plate and piled food on it! no one really talks while we're eating so it's silent the whole time! when I was done eating I said "I'm going up to bed I'm exhausted!" Everyone nodded and I headed up stairs. I brushed my teeth and plopped down on my bed! I turned off the light and closed my eyes. I had a hard time sleeping that night because I was thinking about Mia and how I was going to be a father, the thought of being a father kinda scared me, I have no experience with this at all! "I guess I'm winging it!" I chucked to myself! after a while I finally fall asleep, existed for the day head!!
