"Let's all just turn in for the night," Shikamaru said

We all went into our tents. Ino and I in one tent and Shikamaru and Choji in the other

"SO, what were you ACTUALLY doing with Shikamaru?" Ino asked. She knows about me liking Shikamaru

"What do you mean?" I ask trying to not make it suspicious

"Well did you tell him how you feel or not?" Ino said, inpatient 

"Well..... No" I said with a sigh

"What the hell (Y/N) it's been a year since you've been liking him and frankly I think he likes you back," Ino tells me 

"So? you haven't told Sai how you feel now have you?" you bring up a past conversation to back Ino off of your case

"Well...... No" She said exactly how you said you haven't told Shika 

"Exactly you can't be talking. Besides, I don't want our friendship to be ruined" I say genuinely concerned for our friendship

"I have an idea for you two to cuddle. Pretend you had a nightmare and go up to Shika and tell him that I told you to back off because I was mad at you from earlier" Ino says strategically 

"Ight, bet," I say liking the idea of me and Shika cuddling

~Time skip to like 1 in the morning~ 

"Shika?" I say trying to sound tired and scared at the same time

"Hn? What's wrong (Y/N)?" Shikamaru says barely waking up

"I-I had a nightmare and I can't go back to sleep," I say kind of cringing knowing that I sound like a little girl going to her parent's room to sleep with them

"What a drag, come lay next to me" I hear Shikamaru say in the dark it was way too dark to see and I fall on top of Shikamaru

I feel my face burn up "Oh my gosh I'm sorry I'm so sorry" I start getting up but Shikamaru pulls me down into a hug

"I love you (Y/N)" Shikamaru says 

"(Y/N)? (Y/N)? Wake up" I hear Ino say 'Damn, it was just a dream' I think to myself "It's go time," Ino says I see that it isn't morning yet 

"Wait what do you mean its go time?" I ask obviously confused

"You're going to cuddle with Shikamaru remember?" 

"OH right let's do this"

I walk up to Shika and Choji's tent I walk in and see both Shika and Choji sleeping peacefully I call out Shikamaru's name and he wakes up "What's wrong?" Shika says waking up

"I had a nightmare....." I say 

"(Y/N) you know you don't need to make excuses to cuddle" Shikamaru says 

"Eh! ME?!" I say in a whisper yell

"Yes you," He says in a sarcastic way

"I would never," I say in an offended tone 

"I was just joking around with you (Y/N)" Shika says obviously amused with his little stunt sure we 'flirt' but this was different for some reason

"Fine, I guess I'll get consumed by the demons then. Bye Shika! See you in the next world!" I say in a sarcastic way

"Fine. come here then, lie down next to me" Shika says kind of annoyed

~Shika's POV~

I was very happy that I get to cuddle with (Y/N) but I can't let her know that. I told her to lie down next to me as she starts walking across the tent to get to my side of it she falls and land right on top of me I blush hard but she can't see that because its too dark she says she's sorry and kind of just stays on top of me if she were waiting for something. I was getting kind of turned on but I couldn't let her know that so I just told her to get off

"Oh sorry I kind of spaced out" (Y/N) says with her sweet angelic voice I could listen to it all day if I wanted to 

"It's alright just go to sleep," I tell her and she does. Fall asleep that is.

"What were you guys doing?" Choji asks when we walk into our tent. Choji and only Choji knows how I truly feel about (Y/N)

"We were just talking" I respond

"Did you tell her?" Choji asks 

"No," I tell him with a sweatdrop

"What the fuck Shikamaru you've had these same feelings for her since as long as I can remember just ask her out already dude," Choji says frustrated for me 

"You know what Choji? You're right I need to tell her if I don't tell her now I never will" I say confidently

"That's the spirit!" Choji says 

"I'll tell her first thing tomorrow morning" 

"Alright Shikamaru!!!!"

"(Y/N)?" I ask. Nothing. 'Fuck she fell asleep whatever I'll just go back to sleep then.'
