Damien's P.O.V

After 'The Incident' Shayne has been acting so strange, last night his behaviour towards me was completely different than normal, the only thing he said was a quick goodnight before we went to sleep. He's probably pissed at me after seeing Courtney and me hugging, maybe he has feelings for her? Even though I've given up on trying to tell him my true feelings, I don't want Shayne to hate me. I need to do something to redeem myself, but I have no idea how.

After dinner I go back to lay in bed, I've done nothing today but rest, after all, I need to make the most out of my free day. I've done my best to avoid Shayne, I even forced myself to wake up earlier than him just to not have that awkward confrontation in the morning. I'm almost asleep, that is until I hear someone knock on my door. Please don't let it be Shayne. It's not. Noah, thank god.
'Hi, what's going on?' I say while opening the door for him.
'Uhh, Matt and Sarah invited us to go out to a nightclub somewhere near tonight,' he says, 'I was just wondering if you wanted to go. You don't have to go, Olivia and Kimmy are staying here.'
I realize that going to this nightclub might be a good way to clear things up with Shayne, 'Sure.' I say.
'Ah okay, nice that you'll join us. I'm gonna go and tell Sarah,' he says, right before he leaves, he whispers, 'Have you noticed that Shayne's been acting weird?'
'Ah. So Shayne's been acting like this around the others too.'
'Uh, well he has been acting kind of different I guess...' I tell him, 'I have no idea why though.' I quickly lie.

Shayne's P.O.V

The first thing I do when I arrive at the nightclub is awkwardly stand around. God, I wish I would've just stayed in that desert, the last time I went to a club I got an anxiety attack and left after 20 minutes. Maybe I need a drink to feel less tense.
'Give me your best flavour,' I say to the bartender, he gives me a confused look in return, but then nods at me and gets ready to make my drink. I'm so bad at this, I rarely drink, and I have never even ordered a drink before. While waiting for my drink, I look around a bit. I quickly regret that descision, because I see Damien and Courtney talking and smiling at eachother. After the bartender gives me my drink he goes on about the ingrediënts of the "juice" I ordered, but to be honest, I'm not paying attention to anything he's saying. After taking another sullen look at Damien and Courtney having fun together, I decide to get as far away from them and sit next to Keith and Lasercorn, who are in the process of picking up some girls.
'Shayne, glad you came to watch us get some ladies,' Lasercorn says, while he agressively pats my shoulder. Ow.
I socialize with them for a few minutes, and they succeed in making me forget about Courtney and Damien for just a little but, 'I-I'll just leave you to it,' I say after I've finished my drink and race to the bar to get another one, they're just so delicious. I sit down and get ready to order a second booze.

Damien's P.O.V

I haven't done much at this nightclub except talk with Courtney about what happened yesterday. During our conversation I could see that Shayne kept looking at us, I realize that it might not be a good idea to approach Shayne right here, right now.
'I don't think that it's a good idea if I try to explain the situation to Shayne right away,' I say to Courtney.
'Why not?' Courtney replies, as she slurps up the last few drops of her drink through her straw.
'I think he's definetely mad at me.' I alertly look around to see if Shayne doesn't hear us, when I see him walking to the restrooms I let my guard down again. 'H-he's probably mad at me... and what if he's intoxicated or something? I don't wanna cause a scene.'
Courtney gently puts her drink down, 'Do you want Shayne to hate you forever? I get your concerns, but you've told me multiple times how awkward you find it to share a cabin with him. If you don't want to experience that again you'll have to tell him that it's a big misunderstanding.'
Courtney's right, as soon as Shayne gets back, I'll sort everything out with him.

Shayne's P.O.V

I see Damien approaching me as I leave the restroom.
'God please, anyone but him right now.'
'S-Shayne?' he says while carefully walking closer to me. Why is he acting so careful? 'Can I uh, speak to you for a quick moment? Alone?'
When I think of the idea of me and him being alone, I can feel my gut twisting.
'Sorry, not right now?' I say anxiously, while I run back to the restroom and lock myself in one of the stalls. I sit down on a closed toilet lid and silently cry. The music in the background starts fading as I hear someone knock on the door.
'Shayne? Shayne, you in there?' I hear Damien say.
'Topp, pull yourself together and act natural.' I wipe off my tears, and flush the toilet to make it seem like I've actually gone to the restroom for the right reason.
'Man, why are you standing in front of my toilet stall, weirdo,' I joke while getting rid of the final tears streaming down.
Damien laughs, 'Sorry, you're right, it's a bit weird. But uhm, I wanna talk to you about something...'
Here it comes. I frantically try look for ways to escape the situation, but to no avail.
'I just wanted to talk with you about yesterday...' he says, 'there's just a lot of confusion around what happened.'
'D-damien, I'm sorry but, I really don't wanna talk about it.' I quickly run down the corridor back to the dancefloor, and order another drink.

Damien's P.O.V

The way Shayne just fled and ran away from me felt like a stab in the heart. It hurts to witness a guy you love doing anything to not be around you. I tried multiple times to approach him again, but he got extremely drunk, which made trying to talk with him useless. I've decided to sit next to Shayne in the busride home, just to make sure he's alright. Shayne isn't the only one who got drunk, behind me are Courtney and Joven attempting to restrain an intoxicated Mari who almost puked on Courtney's shoes during their walk to the bus. Once we get out of the bus I carry Shayne to our cabin who is drunkily mumbling words. I've never been this close to Shayne before, feeling his arm around my neck for this long fills me with excitement.
'Time to go to sleep,' I tell Shayne as we arrive inside and put him on the bed.
'You... you don't tell me what to do!' Shayne aggressively grunts. This is what I was worried about, drinking has probably made him even more angry towards me. I shield myself with my hands in case he tries to throw punches at me, I let them down once I realize that Shayne has plumped down crying on our bed.
'I loved you Damien! Why would you stab me in the back like that?!' My mouth drops open as he utters those words.
'"I loved you"'
echoes in my mind as everything becomes clear. All this time I had thought that Shayne loved Courtney, it's unbelievable to think that he had feelings for me. Still in shock and awe, I notice that Shayne has fallen asleep, and get myself ready for bed. After I get under the covers I lay my head down and think about what an utter mess this night has been.
