Chapter 5

As they made their way inside through the snow they laughed at jokes only the two of them would understand and told stories about what they had been doing the past years they'd been separated. When they got inside Hermione and Ron were in the hallway with worried faces but once they saw Charlotte and Harry they turned to angry faces "Where in the bloody world were you harry!" Yelled Ron ignoring the question harry replied "you know my friend from muggle school?" Harry wasn't finished but Hermione interrupted "what were you doing with her out there?!?" She said then she glared down at their linked hands she obviously didn't approve of but harry kept ignoring them and continued "well turns out she was a witch!and here we stand with her!" He said motioning his hands toward Charlotte after letting go of her hand like he was presenting some great prize Charlotte couldn't help but giggle "are you sure?" Asked Ron with the same a astonished face that Hermione wore "completely!" Said harry excited Hermione's face showed regret probably for assuming the worst of Harry's close friend she tried to make up for it by giving Charlotte a welcome into their group of course she wasn't gryfindor but any friend of Harry's was a friend of her's. She extended her hand for Charlotte to shake "its a pleasure to meet you" she said formally "blimey! This is great harry"- said Ron ignoring Charlotte until Hermione elbowed him hard in the gut "whatever Hermione said" said Ron giving a hand shake to Charlotte with one hand and rubbing his gut with the other. They walked back to the library with each other talking the whole way. Charlotte found she fit in great with this group and was very pleased when Hermione said "Harry talks about you all the time wishing you could meet Ron and myself and now his dream has come true!" Harry blushed a little at this Charlotte giggled at this she'd never seen a boy blush before she thought it looked kind of funny "Back by the tree I was starting to think you had forgotten about me!" Said Charlotte "of course not well...i kind of forgot your name" said harry a little embarrassed. When they got in the library they sat at a table together and whispered Charlotte spotted Lydia and gave her a thumbs up then Lydia winked in return their code for "mission accomplished". After a while of whispering Hermione got bored and buried herself in a book Charlotte giggled and Hermione slammed her book down on the table everyone looked at Hermione then Hermione whispered harshly obviously thinking it was a mistake to make such a loud noise in the library "if you don't stop giggling we're going to have to call you giggles!" said Hermione to Charlotte in a harsh irritated tone "sorry" said Charlotte with a mix of hurt and sarcasm. "sorry about that she gets a little crabby sometimes" said Ron obviously meaning it to be a joke they all laughed quietly. Indeed it was obvious the four of them were going to have a life long friendship but what about Lydia? thought Charlotte if she was to be great friends with this trio when would she have Time for Lydia what would she do?
