Chapter 7

"Why haven't you been sitting with me at meals!" Demanded an angered Lydia as Charlotte slipped into bed "Lydia your going to catch cold with just your nightgown and the window open" said Charlotte ignoring the question "don't ignore me! Why haven't you set with me!" She yelled closing the window "honestly, Lydia I don't see what the big deal is" said Charlotte annoyed "this is a BIG DEAL you know who I've had to sit by for the last week and a half?!?" She said even more angry "who?" Said Charlotte sarcastically raising an eyebrow "luna! She's been driving me crazy with her nutty talk!" Yelled Lydia "shhh!" Said Charlotte harshly , surprised by Lydia's rude remark "she'll hear you Lydia!" She warned "I don't CARE if SHE hears me off to Tim buck too with her!" Said Lydia Lydia was muggle born and Charlotte wasn't so Charlotte had no clue what Tim buck two was but since Lydia was in such a bad mood and with the hatred in her voice she'd said the comment in she thought better of asking what it was "calm down let's talk about this civilly" said Charlotte calmly "CALM! Charlotte you've replaced me with potter and his slimy little friends how could you do this to me!" Said Lydia whispering at the end of her statement a tear was rolling down to her chin then Lydia slumped into bed turning away from Charlotte ending the conversation.
~the next day~
Lydia had ignored Charlotte all day at study hall Charlotte sat next to Lydia and tied to talk to her "Lydia ...listen...I....I just..." Charlotte gave up she'd been trying to talk to Lydia for a good chunk of twenty minuets and Lydia had just sat there with her nose in a book pretending not to hear her so Charlotte gave up and went outside. she ran to the tree by the black lake and sat down to think after a while there she was about ready to leave then she heard a voice behind her "hello Blacktree " it was Malfoy she could almost hear him smirking in his voice Charlotte turned around fast she didn't even think of hiding the fear on her face he cackled "I told you to watch your back Blacktree , you should've known better than to go outside alone" he was smirking Charlotte became scared he did say for her to watch her back but she didn't think he was serious then he drew his wand "now it's time to teach you a lesson" he said pointing his wand at Charlotte she reached in her pocket panicking oh no...she didn't have her wand "Draco please don't..." She said hoping to persuade him "who said you could call me by my first name" he yelled then hexed her she rolled around on the ground in pain the hex had hit her hard in the gut then he yelled a curse at her and hexed her again this time it hit her in the head "please" she pleaded from the ground then she heard a voice and some struggling she couldn't see what was going on she'd closed her eyes "get away from her" the voice yelled "Harry?....." She said weakly and opened her eyes harry was bent over her and she could see Malfoy's figure running back to the castle wait... It couldn't be was he was he....crying? "Charlotte" said harry "we need to get you to the hospital wing" was the last thing Charlotte heard before she passed out when she woke back up harry was carrying Charlotte into the hospital wing she heard a woman gasp "what did you do to the poor girl potter" said the woman "it wasn't me it was Malfoy" he yelled Charlotte didn't know why he yelled they put her in a hospital bed soon Ron and Hermione were there "she's bleeding" said Hermione "we know that" said harry sounding annoyed "I wish she would stop screaming" said Ron covering his ears then Charlotte realized she'd been screaming and tried to calm down "harry" started Charlotte weakly "shhh you need rest young lady your friends have to leave now" said miss Humphrey Harry and Hermione argued before leavening but Ron ran out as fast as he could.

~Harry was summoned to Dumbledore's office~

Harry entered Dumbledore's office "what happened" said Dumbledore calmly "I noticed Charlotte didn't come back when she left the library so after a while I went to go look for her and when I went to look outside she was by a tree by the black lake and Malfoy was standing there hexing her while she begged for mercy" said harry angrily he was almost yelling "you may leave now" said Dumbledore not looking at harry Harry left unhappy with Dumbledore's reaction to the event shouldn't he be calling for Draco so he can exspel him?
