Kingdom of Magic (TaeKook)

Chapter VIII

Jungkook sits on the bed quietly as the King stands before him, the smaller doesn't look up at Taehyung, his gaze fixated on his lap. Heaving out a deep sigh Taehyung steps forward, crouching down to meet Jungkooks gaze.

"I know you have questions for me." His voice is hushed and soft as he lifts Jungkooks chin to lock their eyes, smiling softly at the boy in front of him.

"What's a mate?"

"In my world all of us mythical creatures have one, humans would call them soulmates. Have you ever met someone that makes a huge impact on you that no matter how hard you try to picture them out of your life you just can't? Without them your world would be colorless, bland, a mess, like you need them in your life to feel sane. You would do anything for this one person, cherish them until your last breath. Tell them how much you love them on a daily basis, make sure they know how beautiful they truly are inside and out. Mates are destined to be together, to go through everything together. We share the good times and the bad, we'll share our pain, our joy, our tears, our souls with each other. I will never leave your side our let anything bad happen to you. You're my mate Jungkook, I want you and only you."

Jungkooks lips part slightly as he continues to look at him, his eyes glossing over with tears as he listens to the words his King speaks to him.

"When I saw what my brother was doing to you.. I-I was so mad that he hurt you. That someone caused you pain, you didn't deserve that angel. When I saw you bleeding and crying.. I lost it.. I wanted to kill him. I almost did that night."

"Oh Tae!" Jungkook lunges forward, wrapping his arms around Taehyungs neck to bring him close. The taller standing to wrap his mates legs around his waist. Taehyung kissing his cheek, whispering sweet nothings into his ear as he sobs quietly into his shoulder.

"I love you, my beautiful angel."

Jungkook doesn't hesitate to connect their lips, the kiss full of passion as their lips continue to dance together. Taehyung leans down slowly, gently laying his angel down on the bed. Removing his lips from Jungkooks, he begins to kiss down his jaw, neck and back up.

The smaller makes quick work to remove his shirt, moaning when the pad of his Kings thumb brushes against his nipple. Jungkook leans his head to the side, allowing the vampire access to his neck.

"Bite me Tae~"

Later that evening the couple is cuddling up in bed, Jungkook listening to his tales from his younger vampire years.

"How did you manage becoming the King?"

"As you know I was twenty-two when I was changed, my creator was the ruler at the time. He brought me here and showed me how everything was done, how he had everything placed. He didn't like when the were folk would try to converse with vampires, just like he didn't like the fair folk conversing with the mer folk. He kept everything under lock and key." Pausing, Taehyung heaves out a heavy sigh, kissing the temple of his mates head before continuing.

"I didn't agree with his ways, nor did anyone else. I heard rumors that everyone around me was planing to overthrow him, they wanted me as their King. I never discriminated, I talked to anyone I wanted to, I even helped pass along messages so they could still converse in a way. They all expressed they felt like prisoners, every single mythical creature was in a gated community. The gate went from the ground up, there was no way anyone could get through even if they wanted to."

"That's horrible! You can't just do that!" Jungkook all but shouts, he feels agitated with the old King.

"I agree petal, you can't just cage them off and make them feel like prisoners, it was severely uncalled for. One day I served brought him his feeder, a young girl from the outside world. She was ten.. before I brought him to her she expressed how she didn't like him or feeling him feed off her, that she wanted to go home to her father. I granted her that wish, I had our head wizard devise an elixir that she could drink. It wouldn't harm her one bit, but whoever drank from her would become poisoned. The poison took its effect rather quickly, he tried hurting the little girl but I stopped him."

"A week later all the gates are gone, everything is magical here. I sit on the thrown with a golden crown on my head, I took the little girl home personally so she wouldn't get harmed. Her father cried so much, as did her mother and older brother. I gifted them gold and a new home, our kingdom has been a magical place full of laughter, happiness, and love ever since then."

"Our kingdom?" Jungkook questions quietly, looking at Taehyung with big, round eyes.

"Yes. I want you to be my queen Jungkook, I want you to rule beside me."
