Leaving The Neverland

Chapter 15

Lizzie was sitting next to me when I woke up. "Liz?" "Emily, stay still. I will get Dr Banner." "Huh?" Bruce walked in and checked me, "She is all good." "How long have I been out?" Lizzie Avoid my eye contact, "GRACE ELIZABETH MOONLIGHT, TELL ME." "A month." I sat up. I looked towards the door and saw the rest of the avengers, "why are we in the avenger tower Grace?" "I needed help and they helped me. Plus Nick Fury recognised you straight away how comes?" "I need to leave." I got up and found my clothes and weapons on the chair.

"Emily Silver Moonlight. We meet again."   "Fury." "You still can't be mad at me." "I can't be here and you know it. I left the avengers for a reason long time ago and you promised me..." I saw Loki and Thor." Suddenly, I had a flashback. 

Flashback:

One winter evening, Emily Silver Moonlight was waiting for her twin sister Grace Elizabeth Moonlight. "E?" "Hey. G, we need to talk." "What about?" "Look, I need you to understand please." "EMILY, LOOK OUT!" A spear went through her stomach then a sword through the heart. "Emily?" grace ran into the spear and let a piercing scream. Emily just quickly grabbed her wrist then vanished.

Flashback ended.

"How could you do that to my sister?" "Lizzie, she left you. She gave up on you." "Thor, Loki. There was a reason why." Lizzie showed the memory of what happened to us. I cringed at the start then I looked out the window, I couldn't handle it anymore.

Memory = (I WAS FIGHTING WITH MUM IN A BATTLE AND SHE DIED TRYING TO PROTECT ME. WHY DO YOU THINK IT HARD FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND WHAT FAMILY IS AFTER WHAT HAPPENED WITH OUR OWN.) Lizzie stopped it and they all looked at me. I had tears down my face. Hawkeye came over, "your sister said you are a good shooter." I smiled through the tears, "she has that right." "Show me."  I went to the bathroom and got changed then left with Hawkeye to the training room. I showed him all my skills. "please come back on the team Moonlighter." "You remembered." "Hard to forget you, sweetheart."  I blushed, "Clint. Do you still hang in the vents." "Yeah, it is fun." "Let's go and explore for a bit." "Nice and then you have to talk to Fury." "As you wish." I kissed his cheek and climbed into the vent. 

We spent sometime with each other and jumped down behind everyone making them jump. "EMILY SILVER MOONLIGHT!" "Oops, now I am in trouble. Yes Lizzie." "Don't scare me like that and it good to see you laughing again." "I know and I apologise little one." "Don't push it." I held my hand up and turned to Fury. "I believe we need to talk." "Yes, we do. Tony, Steve with us." We went into the meeting room while the others were watching a film. 

In the meeting room:

I sat down, "Emily you need to come back." "I will returned but only for a short while. I don't belong here, I have found the person for me." "Oh what about Lizzie?" "She is staying here. Steve you are her soulmate. I will help you fight Ultron but that will be my last mission as Moonlighter." "You sure that is the right decision?" "Yes, Lizzie ready to live without me and this time I need to move on from the past. I will visit but I know the future I want." "She made her mind up Fury, Cap. She is telling the truth. She has always told the truth. I respect your wishes." "Thank you tony." 

Meanwhile in the living room: 

"They been in there for nearly an hour." "Hey, Emily was an avenger before you Thor and Loki. Grace has only just joined." They heard the door unlock. "Sorted?" "Yes and Lizzie we need to talk on the roof." "Okay Emily." "JARVIS." "Yes Miss Emily." "Directions to the roof." "Of course." Me and Lizzie went to the roof. Everyone was sitting there until we were out of hearing range. "Well?" "Emily has decided after this Ultron Mission she leaving the Avengers and moving on. Lizzie is staying as a permanent member." 

Up on the roof:

I explained it all to Lizzie, "are you sure?" "Yes, I am." "Okay." She left and Hawkeye took her place. We started to sing under the stars. 

We kissed then we left to our rooms without saying a word. 

WHAT has Emily decided? Is she going to be ok?
