ix. won't keep me away
JACOB BLACK PHYSICALLY HAD to drag Seth away from the road situated between FORKS and LA PUSH. The moments leading after an imprint are always the most tricky, as the wolf feels the innate desire to be physically in contact with the one the ancestors chosen for them — leaving the shifter extremely vulnerable. Seth wasn't any different. In all actuality, he's probably the worse case Jacob has seen.
After the stare down between himself and Edward, the vampire had quickly whisked away the two girls in attendance. Not even giving Seth the opportunity to explain himself or get situated with the whole imprint debacle. While still high on all the dopamine — the kid was crushed when he saw her walk away like nothing, on the verge of tears when Jacob decided he needed to bring him to Sam because even he couldn't wrap his head around the situation. A vampire and shifter? Imprints? He's never heard of it.
It was a sob fest the whole walk to the Uley home, to the point where Jacob was considering drowning himself in the small ravine they passed. If imprinting left him in such a mess as it was leaving Seth, he wanted nothing to do with it. Blabbering on how horrible Edward was for doing something like that to him — he couldn't even get her name before she left. How was even going to get in contact with her? It left him crying again at the thought.
Jacob has never felt relief like the way he felt when the familiar house came into view. Rushing into the place like a bat outta hell — going on a little tangent about what occurred moments before that left the other wolves in attendance staring on in pure confusion. "Slow down" was all Sam Uley could get in before Seth made his way in the house sluggishly — a sight the pack has never seen before. The kid was the embodiment of spunk and hyperactivity.
"Seth. Imprinted" Jacob hissed pointedly. Brown eyes staring a mass hole onto the younger shifters head. The malice behind the statement left Sam, Paul, and Embry trying to decipher the meaning behind it all — imprinting was good? Why did Jacob have a stick up his ass at the thought.
"I'm not seeing the problem" quipped Sam irritably, his own eyebrows pinched together in confusion. Emily thought the same thing as she made her way back into the room, hugging the daylights out of her cousin at the statement — congratulating him during the process.
"It was on a Cullen"
No one breathed after the revelation. Various expressions littered the group as Seth made no attempt to gouge reactions. He was miserable. The guys always gave him a hard time because of how younger he was compared to him — now they're gonna pick on him and his imprint.
"Stop playing" cackled Paul. Not even paying any mind to whatever anyone else was feeling as he made another grab at a cookie. Jacob pursed his lips at the statement "i'm not"
"Seth" Sam uttered tiredly while he rubbed his forehead with one hand in pure defeat. This is not what he needed at a time like this. "Is it true? Which one?"
Seth shrugged his shoulders in defiance. His head still lowered to ground while his vision was once again engulfed in white and gold. White like the ivory of her skin and gold like the diamonds in her eyes. His heart skipped a beat at the image and all he really wanted in that moment was to be with her not here. To wrap his arms around her petite body, engulf the sweet smell of her entire essence — all honeysuckle and lemons.
"Dude" Embry murmured in awe. The kid really had it in him.
"It's true" Seth stated simply, a small smile lifting on his lips "I don't know her name though. He didn't give me a — "
"It's Sunny. Sunny Hale. Suppose to be posing as the blondies sister"
Sunny? What a name was all that littered Seths mind. Sunny, Sunny, Sunny, Sunny.
"Her parents hippies or something" laughed Paul incredulously. The guy has never heard that one before. Jacobs eyes widen in alarm at the jab "what the fuck?! Do you not realize he imprinted on a leech!"
Seth growled out at the insult but was told to back down by his alpha "Don't call her that". Paul laughed at the whole scene, this imprint was sure doing a number on the kid. He had the balls to go up with a guy like Jacob Black.
"Dude" Paul stated, hands raised up in mock surrender at the two wolfs "it's none of my business on who Seth fucks on the weekends. As long as he's not bringing that thing over here I'm — "
"Okay" Sam yelled abruptly "that's enough"
Paul and Embry visibly cower at their alphas command, diverging their gazes to whatever is directly in front of them. Jacob is left wallowing in his own feelings while Seth just stands there — fuming in his own anger, annoyance clear on his redden cheeks at the comment Paul made moments before.
Sam seemed to be on a divide with the whole situation. Calling in the tribe elders seem to be the key when figuring out this whole situation. However, with Seth already not looking to well with this imprint and the obvious tension it would leave within the pack — he wasn't sure what course of action to take.
"Guys" Sam sighed defeatedly "she's an imprint, but at this moment Seth, the treaty still stands" the alpha pointed out "I'm going to call your sister to pick you up — wait outside. I think you need to cool down"
Seth does just that which leaves Jacob guffawing at the simple command "Sam" he hissed once the younger shifter was well away not to overhear anything "she's one of them"
"What do you want him to do, Jacob?" Embry questions from his seat at the table, eyes squinted in confusion "you saw the kid. He was about to take your guys head off for the small comments you made. He's just telling him what he wants to hear"
Paul grumbled in agreement while Sam shook his head in defiance. "Don't involve yourselves" he quips with narrowed eyes "it's between Seth and I and Carlisle and Sunny. No one else". Jacob makes another noise at the comment — taking a step back in order to get his bearings.
"I think it's Sunny, Carlisle, and her fucking husband actually"
"Husband?" Emily whispers as she finally inserts herself back into the exchange — her expression visibly showing her apprehension at the new development. Her cousin was only sixteen years old, he didn't need to worry about stuff like this.
"She had a ring on — looked like an engagement kind. Big diamond"
Paul laughs at the comment, quickly piping down once he received a nasty stare from Emily. "Don't mess around like that dude" Embry explains tiredly.
"I'm not" Jacob states simply, staring at Sam pointedly. "She's with someone already. I got no idea who though"
"It can't be someone from the Cullens" Sam muttered thoughtfully — fully aware of the numbers of them, Sunny was the odd one out. Unless they garnered a new member?
"Again. It's only between Seth and I"
