"And I wasn't gone that long-"

"It was four months!"

Of course Lilura couldn't spend all her time in New York telling her nephew the stories that she and her sister had spent hours listening to while growing up. She did have a job of her own that paid quite nicely. Mixing chemicals together she had found a brilliant way to remove stains and had sold it to a higher company for a constant percentage. This way she was able to earn without doing the work.

Then she had managed to find a way to cook loaves of bread to be nice and toasty. Needless to say, the people whom she had sold that invention to merely called it a toaster and once more she had gained another patent.

If she wanted to earn a few extra bucks, all she had to do would be walk to her neighboring Mechanics and he'd be willing to pay her for however long she worked. The owner had said her name gave him a bit of popularity so it only made sense that she worked on whatever cars had made their way through her hands.

With the constant funds from the toaster and the stain begone she dedicated herself to learning different languages and traveling the world working as an interpreter. She was enamored with the people and their cultures and aside from certain places was able to blend in with them. She marched her way to her office ,briefcase thumping across her hip while she walked.

Annoyed at having to carry her briefcase with her hand, she sewed a thick strap that turned it into a rather effective purse.

"Lur! Hey! Lur!" she could hear her best friend Jacob Kowalski calling her and surprised to see him she turned.

"Jacob!" She beamed holding her arms open as she briefly hugged her friend. "Nice to see you!"

"When did you get back?" Jacob asked falling into rhythm with her. "You didn't even tell me goodbye last time you left. If it wasn't for Helios, I would have never guessed you went to Mexico!" She laughed at his insulted expression.

"Not Mexico. Central America , my dear Kowalski. And I wasn't gone that long-"

"It was four months!"

"It's rude to interrupt Kowalski." She scolded finding humor in the way his face turned red and how he rolled her eyes at her statement. "As I was saying, I wasn't gone that long so I found no reason in making an announcement."

She could already hear Jacob's protests of "Four months isn't long to you?" so she decided to just keep talking "So are you going to tell me about how you're going to tackle the bank for that loan or not?" She hummed referring to the last discussion they had.

Jacob's face brightened as he lifted his own briefcase, standard light brown leather. "You remembered! I hones-"

"Of course I remembered! Why do you think my trip ended early?"
