Chapter 2: Family Drama

Serenity was telling me about my next mission. It was requested by a man. He suspects that his wife is cheating on him. He wants me to find out the truth. He has been finding evidence of infidelity, but can't confirm it. I said: "Alright!" But Serenity read my mind: "I know what you're thinking. Why did this man request a soldier of all people to find out if his wife is cheating? Well, it's because he's been sensing a weird energy from her. He described that he feels like she is a different woman in his wife's shell. He needs you to find out two things: first, if his wife is cheating or not, and second, if it's really her." When I went to see the couple, the man was around 45-50 and his wife was around 40-45. He said that she is acting really weird: before, she was a joyful and strong-willed woman, and now, she's an emotionless zombie with no will or personality. She said "yes" to absolutely everything. I decided, just to see what would happen, say: "Eat your shit." So she went to the bathroom and almost stuck her head in the toilet! I stopped her, of course. Both I and the husband, Robert, were shocked. He said: "Marissa, are you crazy!?" She replied with something that left our mouths open: "I am not crazy. I am just following orders, like you told me to, Master." I asked Robert if he had told her to call him that. He said that he never told her to call him Master. She only started to call him that when she became weird. I investigated together with him, but we both couldn't understand anything. I thought that Marissa was replaced by a robot who looks exactly like her, while Robert thought she was possessed. But these aren't explanations. Magic doesn't exist, right? We did everything to catch her cheating, if she did. However, no matter what we did, we found nothing. Finally, we resorted to placing surveillance cameras in every room of the house. We didn't see anything weird, and I think Marissa was coming back to normal. As there weren't any cameras in the bathroom, I did the most embarrassing thing ever...I hid in the closet in the bathroom. I saw that while Marissa was bathing or showering, she emitted purple smoke! That's it! Something's wrong! People don't emit purple smoke! I asked Serenity on the phone about purple smoke. She said that Marissa is corrupted. Corrupted!? I asked her what that is. She said that corruption is a dark energy that turns people into corrupted zombies. They can be de-corrupted, though. But if the person can control their corruption, then they will die if you try to de-corrupt them. Got it! Marissa is a corrupted zombie! I need to defeat her to de-corrupt her! I told all of this to Robert. He agreed. My plan of action:
-Hide in the bedroom.
-Wait for the one who corrupted her.
-Defeat the one who corrupted her, then defeat her.
So I did. Robert was in the living room, looking at the bedroom surveillance camera footage. I was hiding in the wardrobe. Suddenly, a cloud of purple smoke appeared. When it dissipated, I saw a man with long red hair, red eyes and a black and white casual outfit. He changed his clothes to something I've never seen before...A black unbuttoned long-sleeved shirt with golden buttons and...nothing under it. That nauseated me. Ew! He had black pants on (thank god), and black and gold knee-high boots. I thought to myself: "Okay, what's this faggot gonna do?" Marissa had glowing red eyes. She said: "Nice to see you again, Master. What are your orders today?" He replied with: "Terminate Tsukasa Rieko Hagane of the Army Force." Why was he ordering her to kill me!? You're gonna pay for everything, corruption-faggot. But how am I going to defeat him!? I'm sure that kicking and punching will do nothing. I thought of calling Serenity for help, but I didn't want to put her in danger. I jumped out of the closet and said: "Come at me, Mega Faggot!" He said: "That's your target. Terminate this brat." Marissa walked up to me and took out a knife. But instead of being scared, I took a chair and hit corrupted Marissa on the head. He said: "Heh. She's useless like everyone else. Guess I'll have to take you down myself." He took out a razor blade. I grabbed the chair which I hit Marissa with and tried to hit him, but he dodged my attack. Every time I tried to attack, I failed. But he also missed every time. I just gave up. I said: "Kill me...Please..." He said: "That isn't interesting. What would be much more interesting is torturing you for hours and then giving you a slow, painful death." I said: "Fine...Just put me out of my misery..." He didn't. He just disappeared in a puff of purple smoke. Marissa woke up and said: "Wha...What happened? Who are you?" I introduced myself to the now de-corrupted Marissa. Both Marissa and Robert thanked me for finding out the truth. The mission was completed. Serenity congratulated me. But who was that man, and how to defeat him? There were still so many questions left unanswered...
