so.
i touched hyunjin. i still cant get over it slaofj
aNYWAYS. i said that i would rant in here, but i decided that i'll tell you about the whole concert experience :) there's a lot to it, so i guess fasten your seatbelts lmao
almost immediately after i got home from school, my mom made my little sister and i pack the things we needed for the concert (i made a checklist bc i'm extra: phone, tickets, tissues, lightstick, chapstick, the basics). we left home at 4:10 and then stopped through the McDonald's drive through for food (we sat there waiting for our food for 30 minutes, so that's not good).
we obviously ate in the car and then we were on our way.
weLL, my mom is stubborn as heck and didn't listen to anybody when they told her the weather was going to be dangerous to drive in (esp since the car ride to chicago is 2-3 hours for us). we slid on the ice quite a few times and i honestly thought i was going to be sick. lucky for me tho, my mom grew up with a redneck dad, so she knows how to control a sliding car.
we thought we were going to be late to the show because my mom thought it started at 8 when it actually started at 7:30. the map was telling us we weren't going to get there until 7:17 so big yikes !! i think i had like two panic attacks in the car 😎
eventually we got there and were able to make it in by 7 sharp. we walked around the venue, did coat check, etc etc.
my mom had bought me a ticket that was way closer to the stage (like, i was so close !!) than her ticket and my sister's ticket, so she came with me to show me where my seat is.
( here's when the rant starts )
well, we find my row and ....
some rando chick is sitting in my seat.
my mom and i were confused and thought that maybe they had the wrong seats, but then we realized that she really was sitting in my seat.
i had seat 2 in the row, and this girl (ironically, i found out that her name is sarah, too) is sitting in mY seat !! we asked her about it, and she and the girl that was sitting in seat 1 (her name is mia) were wondering if i would trade seats with sarah. just because they wanted to sit together.
um !!! no !!! i asked what seat she had, and she had seat 9 ! like sis, there is no way that i'm going to trade my seat thats closer to the stage for a seat that's further from the stage. heck off. get outta here. that's toxic.
at first i was polite about it, and so was my mom. i told both of the girls that i'd prefer to keep my seat, and they got mad about it, especially sarah. she was being really passive aggressive and saying things like, "i don't see the big deal. it's not like it's the end of the world."
honey. for me, this IS the end of the world. i'm in the same building as my favorite human beings e v e r , and you're trying to ruin my experience. that's not going to fly with me. it really won't. i'll fight for these boys.
finally, i said, "look. my mom paid money for the seat you're sitting in. she worked her butt off for me to be here, so i suggest that you get up, or there's going to be a problem."
what made me mad is that she didn't even say anything back. she just stared at me while her friend, mia, was trying to calm us down. my mom was even jumping in.
then, sarah goes, "then how about we get the rest of the row to scoot down?"
this kind of interested me because if the row scooted down, then i would get mia's seat, which was seat 1, and would ultimately be closer to the stage. so i said, "yeah, if you can get the rest of the row to scoot, i'm okay with that."
so then they asked the rest of the row, and they didn't want to move (which is valid because i wouldn't want to either). then the next thing i know, a security guard comes over.
we explained the situation to her, and she says to mia and sarah, "oh. then yeah, you need to give her the seat back. if the row doesn't want to move and she doesn't want to give HER seat up, you should move to the seat that you paid for."
long story short, sarah moved to her own seat, mia and i apologized to each other and enjoyed the show as fellow stay, and the security guard told me that she's glad i didn't give in because my seat was closer anyways.
in the end, it was all worth it.
lol, part two coming probably soon
k bye
