And just like that they are locked together again, but in a house this time. And she's not sure if she wants out. The first five minutes they were screaming the names of their friends in hopes they will let them out but they gave up soon. They also blamed each other for the situation they are in. But eventually both of them understood what the plan was so they decide to adjust. It's not like they have to be in the same room.
"I'll be at the kitchen trying to find something to eat." Kerem says but Ayşe grabs his hand in hers, stopping him. His eyes focus for a moment in their intertwined hands, missing the sense of her skin touching his.
"You don't know how to cook and you'll burn the whole place down, with us in it. Just tell me what you want and I'll fix it for you."
"You don't have to worry anymore of what I eat or how I eat it you know..."
"I have to when my security is at risk. I have a fiancé who would want me in one piece at our wedding."
"I would marry you again even if you were half burned and limping." It slips and he looks away. She turns and smiles as she heads to the kitchen.
Thirty minutes later she has the table set up and she's serving the same dish she had cooked for them when they were at the mountain house. She's thinking about their time here. How she couldn't sleep without him. How he stayed because she asked him to. How similar the situation is...
Kerem all this time was checking to see if any of the doors are unlocked. He was fake checking to be honest. He wanted as much alone time as he could get with her. The smells from the kitchen brought back memories. Memories he couldn't handle right now. He goes to find her, preparing himself for the inevitable.
And there she is. All pretty and cute with her apron. And then his mind forms an image that he can't bear.
Her doing the same thing but instead of him Omer is with her. All happy and cheery he kisses her cheek thanking his wonderful wife for his dinner. His heart shatters. He shivers. The shock of the image is huge.
He shakes his head and he swears that he will never allow this to happen. He's an idiot, he made a mistake and he's not willing to admit it but he'll find a way to get her back.
"Something smells delicious..." He says and checks what's on the plates.
"I couldn't find any eggs for the scrabbled omelet that you like but at least we are not going to starve." She says but she avoids eye contact.
Kerem can also feel the tension in the atmosphere but he decides to play it cool for now.
"Good to have you here with me I guess."
"Although I bet you would prefer Ceyda..." Ayse whispers under her breath but he hears her.
"What was that?" He asks all innocent.
"Hmm? Nothing. Just me talking to myself. Sit. I'll get the water." She vanishes again inside the kitchen and he purrs some wine in his glass.
