looking at my reflection in the mirror, i decide that the clothing that I am currently in isn't working with my new form, so i decide to head down to the Taylor's quarters so that I can have some new ones made.

I throw on a cloak and head out of my door towards my desired destination, humming a song as  I launch into the air, freeing my fiery feathers once more as I soar above the rooftops. I call out, my melodious cries filling the air, and I begin to descend upon the Taylor's courtyard.

I leave shortly after, carrying the bundle of clothing wrapped in string in my beak, my gigantic wings as bright as the sun setting behind them. i arrive back in my quarters and quickly change into the beautiful flowing white robes that I was given. the fabric seems to float around me, as if it has a mind of it's own, almost as if I am underwater.

I step into my courtyard, my feet bare on the petals that cover the ground, the majestic Sakura trees in full bloom above me. I stand on the top branches of the tallest tree looking out at the whole palace from above, saying one last goodbye as all of the lamps are lit, millions of stars shining below. I float down to the ground, landing lightly.

"You look good."

I turn sharply, startled by the  sudden voice, and there leaning on the tree trunk is Kukulkan, his ebony hair flowing down his back in waves.

He steps into the moonlight, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me in gently, stroking my hair back out of my face and I gaze into his lust filled eyes. without warning he lifts me up and carries me to the door out of my quarters.

"Which way will you be going down?" he asks, his eyes never leaving mine. I smile, my eyes sparkling with joy that he supports my decision.

"take me to the edge of the portal and I will show you." I reply, wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him lightly on the cheek. He carries me down the candle lit halls and through the intricately carved wooden doors to the portal, where he places me down.

I turn, closing my eyes and picturing where i want to go, a pond of lotuses in a heavenly garden, fireflies flickering just above the water. then I go up, higher than the tallest trees, up amongst the stars. I turn to him, a mischievous smile on my face, put out my arms either side of me and fall backwards through the portal. the last thing I see in the palace is his shocked face and then i am falling, a shooting star plummeting from the heavens. I close my eyes and let sleep claim me, knowing I will land amongst the lotuses in the pond.

Myrin

I stood by my window looking up at the thousands of stars in the vast night sky. Suddenly, a new star appears in a blaze of light. It grows larger with every passing second, getting nearer and nearer until...

SPLASH!

It lands in the lotus pond, a shock wave of water lifting up the lotuses as it grows, stopping before the edge of the pool.

I jump through the window and sprint towards the pool, reaching the edge and peering into the water. amongst the flowers lies the floating body of a young man, his white robes floating around him, like wings in flight.

I wade into the pool and lift him out, his clothing clinging to him and showing that there was pure muscle underneath.

still carrying him, I walk back inside, calling for a servant as I do so. I lay him down on the bed and order them to get him into some drier clothes, heading over to my wardrobe, i pull out some dry clothes and change, letting my wet hair fall down my back in a cascade.

When I am done, I walk back through and look down at the muscular figure in the bed, a white phoenix resting it's head between his brows, hair as white as snow, almost like a doll, his porcelain skin shining under the moon.

I leave the room, heart racing. What is this? I have never felt like this before. what is happening?
