Myrin
It's still raining as I sit at my desk, reading. the soft pitter pattering on the roof tiles sounds almost like music now. I still cannot get what father said out of my head. that man may be king, but he isn't the best at reading our emotions.
The rain has stopped now, the silence weighing heavily on my mind. I hear one of the guards at the door talking to someone. A female voice replies, angry and adamant. It's her. Why is it always her? I walk over to my window, my hands clasped behind me. Suddenly, the door bursts open, and in walks the she-devil.
"what do you want?" I ask, my patience already wearing thin. she is holding a tray of food. she is trying to spend more time with me and get on my good side again. Patience is not one of this woman's virtues at all. She brings it over and places it on my desk.
"thank you, now leave please." She stomps her foot, but stops the moment she sees the look in my eye. She leaves, shutting the door behind her. that woman is so foolish, thinking that the reason i agreed to this marriage was because I loved her. She took it badly when I told her.
Now she will stop at nothing to gain my love and affection. I turn and look at the letter on my desk, reading it again just to be sure. I was right, disaster relief is going to be a lot of work...
"Your highness?" i look up and see one of the servants looking back at me, his face troubled.
"what is it?" I reply, noticing that he looks relieved the moment I speak. i am only half listening when he tells me second brother is here to see me.
I nod, my eyes glazing over as he enters the room, not caring why he is here, wondering to myself, if rain is the tears of a god, then what made that god so sad.
Daemeon
Kukulkan backs off letting go for a moment and I take a chance and run, closing my door behind me. I can hear him banging on the other side, but I hold it shut, back against it. The banging stops and i hear his footsteps as he walks away.
I slide my back down the door until I am sitting on the floor and curl up, head in my hands as the tears I had been holding back since this morning slid down my face, all of the pain gushing out of me all at once.
I didn't want to hurt him, but he had no idea what he was doing to me, how much pain he had caused.
when my tears finally stopped, i began to prepare to depart to earth.
I picked a beautiful male elf as my mortal form, silver white hair flowing down a back covered in whip scars, sapphire blue eyes underneath the white phoenix symbol on my forehead, embedded in my pale porcelain skin. I smiled at my reflection, seeing the beauty that I could create. I was almost ready.
